Junior Church @ Berkswell Church is BACK! 🥳🥳🥳

It was lovely to see so many of you return after the summer holidays!

Today we were looking at Psalms - specifically Psalm 23.

The children discussed what a Psalm is, and what Psalm 23 is trying to tell us - how God makes peace, and how God loves us and protects us.

They then engaged with three different craft activities all to do with LOVE, PEACE and PROTECTION. Well done everyone - a fabulous effort by all 🙌⛪️🎉

Last week was our last Junior Church of term and what a wonderful morning we had!

We celebrated the end of a fantastic term by all getting together for a little party 🎉 there was singing, parachute games, scavenger hunts, bubbles, pass the parcel and lots of food to share!

A HUGE thank you to all the amazing children and parents who have been involved with our church this past year. We cannot wait to see you again in September ☺️🙌

We had an excellent Junior Church session today - exploring the links between football and Christianity! The children discussed the similarities between the two, and thought about which nation God would support. They then made England flags and decorated their own football shirts. Well done everyone!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Junior Church yesterday! We had a wonderful time thanking God for our incredible bodies and our senses 🎉🎉 AND a huge thank you to members of the Mothers Union for organising a teddy bear parachuting event after the service! 👏👏 The children had so much fun 🤩

JOIN US THIS SUNDAY 🙌🙌

This Sunday - 21st June - promises to be an exciting time for St. John Baptist Church, Berkswell!

Bishop Sophie will joining us for our Patronal Feast Day Service 🎉 We are extremely lucky to be welcoming the Bishop to our beautiful church and hope to see many of you there. She will be preaching, and will also say a special prayer for the fathers and father figures on what is also Father’s Day. We can’t wait!

We went on a bug hunt! 🕷️🐌🐞

Yesterday in Junior Church, our lovely leader Jo led a bug hunt as part of the Churches Count On Nature Challenge!

The children had so much fun exploring the church grounds and seeing what insects, bugs and flowers they could find. 👏👏
