This Sunday we welcome a visiting speaker to St Mary's at the 11.00am Communion service. The Rev'd Su McClellan is the Church Engagement Lead for the charity Embrace the Middle East, which partners with Christians in countries such as Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Israel and Palestine.

Su has recently visited both the West Bank and Jerusalem and will be sharing her experience, and that of Embrace's partners in the Middle East responding to the conflicts across the region and their devastating impact.

The service will be followed by a bring and share lunch with the opportunity to talk to Su and hear more about her work.

It's the first of our afternoon teas this Sunday, 3rd May. Join us in the church for a cup of tea and freshly baked home made cakes from 2.30 to 4.30. Proceeds in aid of St. Mary's church.

You will also be able to see the work of 4 local artists on display in the church as part of the Severn Vale Art Trail. Why not visit a few of the local venues in Berkeley, and stop in for a cup of tea on the way.

Our teas will then continue on the second Sunday of the month from June to September.

St Mary's is hosting 4 artists as part of the Severn Vale Art Trail over the Early May Bank Holiday weekend. While the artists are with us, instead of our usual Family Church, come and join in some Family Art Fun on Sunday 3rd May 10.30-12.00!

Come and visit St Mary's church this weekend where you can see artwork by Anne Guy, Georgina Korn, Nola Bradley and Steve Godsell, who are exhibiting their work as part of the Severn Vale Art Trail.

We are venue No 2, and we are open between 10.00am and 4.00pm from 30th April to 4th May. Refreshments available.
