Bere Alston United Church

Bere Alston United Church We seek to be the people God created us to be and to do the things that he is calling us to do.

We are a lively joint Methodist and United Reformed Church with a membership of around fifty. We have a wide age range, from new-born to ninety years old and over, and come from a variety of backgrounds, so our weekday activities reflect that.

9.07.26 Games & Crafts Club. We had a great finale to our term with games in the garden including Rattle Attack with water sprayer, Noodle Battle and Monkey Ball. Thank you to Jane for providing Choc Ices and to our volunteers for giving their time and energy. Jack talked about his faith using some eggs! Jenny, Jane, Jack and Karl.

2.07.26 Games & Crafts Club. What a great evening we had with Eddie the drummer. Five children got to have a one to one taster session on a full drum kit. There was also a game of 'Keepy Uppy' in the garden and on the craft table we had butterfly making. Jane, Jenny, Jack and Robin.

18.06.26 Games and Crafts Club go to Forest School part 2. Once again we had a wonderful evening in the woods with teacher Jane Morton. We played big games of Rattle Attack (with a water sprayer!), 40/40 and Manhunt. There was the opportunity to light the Kelly Kettles and enjoy hot chocolate. Our scripture of the week Matthew 5 v16. 11.06.26 Games and Crafts Club go to Forest School. What a brilliant evening we had, thanks to Jane Morton, Forest School Teacher and our team of volunteers. The children had an amazing time, mostly playing 'The Keeper of the Keys' and 'ManHunt'. There was also the opportunity to learn how to light a Kelly Kettle and make everyone a hot chocolate. Bible verse of the evening was Ecclesiastes 4 v9-12. Jenny and all.

4.06.26 Games and Crafts Club. We enjoyed having a go at Pastels and Watercolours. We held a mega 'One Touch' ball game with many participants! It was great to get feedback from two members who had recently been to the SWYM football tournament and we watched them on video. Bible verse of the week: Hebrews 12 v2.

21.05.26 Games & Crafts Club. We had two great ball games in the garden - One Touch Keepy Uppy and Piggy in the Middle. We finished with the Chocolate Dress up game and Jack talked about Psalm 138 v8 'God takes the details of our lives and brings them to completion'. Jenny, Jane, Jack and team.

23.04.26 Games & Crafts Club. This week there was an opportunity to try out Watercolour Pencils as well as Hama Beads. We started a basketball competition - 'Round the World' scoring. Our scripture reading was Ephesians 2 v 10. We finished off by celebrating a wonderful achievement by our volunteer who has completed his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award - time for bronze starry buns! Well done. Jenny, Jane and the team.
