Bere Alston United Church

Bere Alston United Church We seek to be the people God created us to be and to do the things that he is calling us to do.

We are a lively joint Methodist and United Reformed Church with a membership of around fifty. We have a wide age range, from new-born to ninety years old and over, and come from a variety of backgrounds, so our weekday activities reflect that.

4.06.26 Games and Crafts Club. We enjoyed having a go at Pastels and Watercolours. We held a mega 'One Touch' ball game with many participants! It was great to get feedback from two members who had recently been to the SWYM football tournament and we watched them on video. Bible verse of the week: Hebrews 12 v2.

21.05.26 Games & Crafts Club. We had two great ball games in the garden - One Touch Keepy Uppy and Piggy in the Middle. We finished with the Chocolate Dress up game and Jack talked about Psalm 138 v8 'God takes the details of our lives and brings them to completion'. Jenny, Jane, Jack and team.

23.04.26 Games & Crafts Club. This week there was an opportunity to try out Watercolour Pencils as well as Hama Beads. We started a basketball competition - 'Round the World' scoring. Our scripture reading was Ephesians 2 v 10. We finished off by celebrating a wonderful achievement by our volunteer who has completed his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award - time for bronze starry buns! We had our first session on emergency First Aid - how to call an ambulance and how to put someone in the recovery position. We made frog party blowers, and there were tournaments going on in Ping Pong Squash and Snooker. Jack talked to us about God being our Defender like an Adelie penguin! Jenny, Jane and Jack.
