Christmas Card Competition
Would you like to draw, colour or paint a picture of a Christmas scene that we can use as the card that goes to all the houses in this parish wishing everyone one a Happy Christmas? This is open to any child of primary school age (Bere Alston school will be taking part).

It should be on a sheet of white A5 paper and it can be about anything to do with the Christmas story – angels, Mary & Joseph, baby Jesus, shepherds, wise men, or something you think is important about Christmas.

It needs to be back in school or delivered to the Rectory, The Down, Bere Alston by Monday 17th November, with your name and age on the back of the picture. We will put the name of the person who made the picture on every card and make sure you have some for yourself as well.

If you have any questions, please let Nick Law know. I look forward to seeing your picture.

Our warmest congratulations to Dame Sarah Mullally, the former Bishop of Crediton, upon her announcement as the next Archbishop of Canterbury. Our prayers are with her as she takes on this significant role in the life of our nation.

“I’m delighted to hear that Bishop Sarah has been appointed as the next Archbishop of Canterbury, especially as she consecrated me a bishop in the summer and was my predecessor-but-one as Bishop of Crediton here in Devon.” - the Bishop of Crediton, the Rt Rev’d Moira Astin
