Tomorrow is our BIG DAY! Summer Fair plus the Belper Gardening Club's Annual Fair in a marquee, which went up this morning. Stalls inside and out, plus refreshments and hot cobs and children's activities. 10am - 4pm. The Gardening Club entries are being judged by the Potty Plotters from Radio Derby and visitors will be able to view the exhibits after 12noon, once judging has finished.

If you are coming, be aware that there are Severn Trent works the far side of the roundabout with traffic lights and queues across the roundabout. So you may want to park in the Coppice Car Park and walk down King Street. The stalls are up in the Market Square too. So plenty to do in Belper tomorrow!

We look forward to seeing you.

We are getting closer to our Summer Fayre on 8th August - part of the Belper 250 Celebrations! And great news - Belper Gardening Club is joining us for their Annual Show, which will be bigger and better than ever before with a large marquee on our grass! The Church will be open all day for refreshments and stalls inside (and out if it isn't raining!). The Gardening Club show entries will be available to view from 12noon. Find us opposite Belper Bus Station. Just cross the road and there we are! We look forward to seeing you! Below is a recent photo of Jackie's sweet peas! Expect more glorious blooms like this!

Excellent afternoon for Hymns and Pimms yesterday at Belper Cricket Ground, accompanied by the fabulous Derwent Brass Ensemble, part of the Band. Thanks to Gary Spendlove for organising the event on behalf of Churches Together in Belper.

Great news at the event - Derwent Brass Band is through to the National Brass Band finals on 3rd October at the Albert Hall! They will be competing along with the likes of the Black D**e Band and many well-known names. They are fund raising for the trip, so if you can support their concert on Saturday at St Peters Church, Belper, it will all help. Congratulations to them! Belper residents know how fantastic they are!!

Happy Easter to you all! We sang favourite Easter hymns this morning and decorated the cross which is now outside in the grounds - a symbol that there is always hope no matter how difficult things seem in our lives and in the world. Christ is Risen!
