Belfast Cathedral Discover Belfast Cathedral – a place of historic Christian worship in the heart of Belfast.

Join us as we gear up to celebrate 120 years of the ‘Cathedral at the heart of Belfast’. The Dean and community warmly welcome you to experience the stunning architecture and artwork of the Cathedral, The Cathedral Church of St Anne. Among its many impressive features are mosaics by the Martin sisters, stonework by Rosamund Praeger and Morris Harding, beautiful stained glass, marble tiling, intricate wood carvings, and exquisite needlework such as the handcrafted Titanic Pall. For those seeking a quiet space for prayer and reflection, the Chapel of the Holy Spirit is open to all visitors. To support the upkeep of this grand Cathedral, a small fee of £2.50 is charged for tours. For more detailed information on all aspects of the Cathedral, visit our website at www.belfastcathedral.org. Join us for our regular services:

◾ Sundays: Choral Eucharist (11am) & Choral Evensong (3:30pm)

◾ Thursdays: Said Eucharist (1pm)

◾ Fridays: Healing Service (1pm) & Choral Evensong (5:30pm)

◾ Prayers are said daily in the Cathedral at 1pm

We have been so privileged to host the wonderful James Atherton over the last seven days at Belfast Cathedral, as we continue to explore the exciting musical journey of our cathedral’s magnificent pipe organ.

James, Head Voicer at Nicholson & Co. Ltd, has been hard at work breathing new life into our instrument, and we’re delighted he’s taken the time to talk you through the current stage of tonal changes!

On Sunday morning 20th September, with Dean Stephen Forde AKA Black Santa, Canon Raymond Fox launched his latest collection of insightful poems entitled "Hourglass". This collection contains many poems and an autobiographical account which reflect on eight decades of Raymond's life and ministry.

Costing £10, ALL PROCEEDS go towards the 2026 Black Santa 50 Appeal. As we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Black Santa Sitout, started in 1976 by Dean Sammy Crooks, we have set the target of raising 1/3rd more in 2026, with the extra money raised going to the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice, to fund the operation of an additional respite room at the Children's Hospice in this their 25th anniversary year.

Copies of Hourglass can be purchased from the Cathedral Shop, or at a further launch at 7.30pm at St Philip and St James Church Halls, Holywood.

11am SUNDAY 20 SEPTEMBER. All are welcome to our morning service of Choral Eucharist, with the Cathedral Choir and Choristers. A special welcome to any new students to Belfast.

Our service will be followed by the LAUNCH and book signing of Canon Raymond Fox's new POETRY COLLECTION and AUTOBIOGRAPH -"HOURGLASS". Cost £10. All proceeds to the 2026 50th Anniversary Black Santa Appeal.

Morning access to the Cathedral will be from the West Link, exiting at Clifton Street, and via Donegall Street. Other routes cross the city will be affected by the Half Marathon course, see map below.

Morning Worship - 11.00am Choral Eucharist with choristers, followed by the launch of Canon Raymond Fox's book "HOURGLASS".

All routes across the city open for the 3.30pm annual Pets Service.
