Ballysillan LOL 1891 We finished our 2013 12th parade home to our Orange hall on the 1st October 2016, we achieved our objective to get home by peacefully protesting 1177 days.

The foundation of the Orange Order is the "Glorious Revolution"of 1688, whose basic principles was and remains "Civil and Religious Liberty for All." The Orange Institution as a key stake-holder within the City of Belfast recognises the need to play its part in Civic Society and seeks to promote peace, stability and prosperity throughout Belfast. ange Events as inclusive, especially our 12th July Celebrations, for the enjoyment of all our citizens. The Orange Institution believes the 12th Celebrations have immense potential in terms of tourism for Belfast. To achieve our aim, Belfast County Grand Lodge has and will continue to improve and enhance the appearance and nature of Orange Demonstrations and community events. The County Grand Lodge welcomes all support and its aim of promoting Orange events as clourful expressions of our rich and varied cultural heritage. The Orange Institution will co-operate with and embrace those offering support in ensuring that aspects of Orangeism should be accessible to all and enjoyed by the entire community, including those visiting Northern Ireland.

Monday, 13th July 2026

This year’s Belfast Twelfth parade will include over 6,500 participants including 77 bands from across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Last year, an estimated 170,000 spectators lined the route to witness the colour and pageantry of the annual event.

The procession will be led by the Officers of the County Grand Lodge of Belfast, headed by the County Colour Party and the renowned Millar Memorial Flute Band.

A special Act of Remembrance will be held at Belfast City Hall, where a wreath will be laid at the Cenotaph just before 10:20am. This short Act of Remembrance is a moment of solemn reflection in the midst of celebration and is an opportunity to honour the sacrifices of those who gave their lives in defence of their nation.

The County Grand Lodge, comprised of nine Districts, will be under the command of Rt. Wor. Bro. Spencer Beattie, who celebrates 7 years at the helm as County Grand Master.

At the official platform proceedings, the keynote address will be delivered by Most Wor. Bro. Tim Lord, Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of England.

At Barnett Demesne there will be a food village and fun fair. A supporting programme of activities hosted by Belfast Orangefest will offer family-friendly activities, cultural showcases and something for everyone to enjoy.

This Twelfth in Belfast will be live streamed and will be available to view on YouTube.

Between 9am and 2pm, a range of activities including music, street performers, food vendors, and interactive displays will be taking place in the City centre. Shops across the city will open from 1pm to 5pm, giving festivalgoers the perfect opportunity to explore Belfast’s busy retail scene.

On behalf of the Officers and Brethren of our lodge we would like to say a big thank you to everyone that came to our night at the races last night in the upstairs lounge of the Mountainview club, it was a great success, also we would like to thank Andy for his excellent setup, the bar staff who were brilliant as usual, and the management and committee of the Mountainview club for everything they done for us, second to none.
