Camino 2026
After months of preparation, both physically and spiritually, leaders and young adults from Clonard, together with colleagues and a young person from Redemptorist Youth Ministry, today begin our pilgrimage journey to Santiago de Compostela.

Over the next week, as we walk the Camino from Sarria to Santiago, we will carry with us the prayers and intentions of all those who support our ministry and follow our journey, including our friends here on social media.

Please keep us in your prayers as we walk, pray, reflect and journey together. Every step will be offered in prayer for our families, friends, supporters, and all those who have asked us to remember them.

As pilgrims, we walk not only for ourselves but for the many people whose lives are connected with our ministry. We carry your hopes, your intentions, and your prayers in our hearts.

Buen Camino!
Go n-éirí an bóthar

🙏🎒✝️

Good morning. You are very welcome as you join us in Clonard Monastery, Belfast for this time of prayer at the beginning of Wednesday, June 3rd. Thank you for taking the time to pray with us and for us. May God bless you and all those you love with peace throughout today.

In the First Reading today St. Paul writes to Timothy - and to us: “Fan into a flame the gift that God gave you when I laid my hands on you.”

Today in Ireland we celebrate the memorial of St. Kevin. He was a native of Leinster and grew up in Kilnamanagh, where he received his early religious formation. Wishing to be a hermit, he crossed the mountains to Glendalough. Disciples began to gather around him. Gradually the great monastic settlement grew and spread through the glen after his death in 618.

A Word of God from today’s Mass:

“To you have I lifted up my eyes,
you who dwell in the heavens:
my eyes, like the eyes of slaves
on the hand of their lords.”
Psalm 122

Good morning. Thank you for joining us in Clonard Monastery, Belfast for this time of prayer at the beginning of Tuesday, June 2nd. It is lovely having you here praying with us and for us. May God bless you and all your loved ones throughout today with gladness.

From the beginning of Christian history, Jesus has been attributed the divine title of‘Lord’. This assertion of his lordship over the world and over history has implicitly recognised that people should not submit their personal freedom in an absolute manner to any earthly power, but only to God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Today we celebrate the memorial of Sts. Marcellinus and Peter. They were Roman clergy who were martyred under Diocletian in the year 303.

A Word of God from today’s Mass:

“What we are waiting for is what God promised: the new heavens and new earth, the place where righteousness will be at home.”
2 Peter 3, 12

Good morning. We are delighted to have you with us in Clonard Monastery, Belfast for this time of prayer at the beginning of Monday, June 1st. Thank you for taking the time to pray with us and for us. May God bless you and all of us abundantly today and all through the new month of June.

The First Reading reminds us that, as we await the coming of Christ again, we must beware of false teachers. God’s mercy is the source of our salvation. The gift of God’s Spirit enables us to share in the divine nature.

Today we celebrate the memorial of St. Justin. He was born in the Holy Land and settled in Rome. He became a Christian and is remembered for his defence of Christian belief and practice. He was martyred around 165

A Word of God from today’s Mass:

“May you have more and more grace and peace as you come to know our Lord more and more.”
2 Peter 1, 2
