8/8/26 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭
This is God speaking, telling us that HE is the start and the finish, eternal and almighty. This is the God who has called each one of us, who has brought us through His only son into His presence. This is the God who has forgiven us, who has washed us and who enables us to serve Himself. Isn’t that wonderful!
His power and glory are emphasised in Revelation 4.11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” His power and majesty are unlimited and yet He is pleased to call us His children and He walks with us every day when we trust in Him. Praise His Holy Name!

7/8/26 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭5‬ ‭
Why do we need to wear God;s armour? Why do we need to stand together with our brothers and sisters in Christ? The simple answer is that we will face troubles. We will have enemies. We are not immune to life on earth. Look at what David says in Psalm 23 - You, God, prepare a feast for me in front of my enemies. David knew what it was like to have enemies and had to fight them for most of his life. God didn’t say that He would chase away David’s enemies, rather He fed David right in front of them. God didn’t remove David from His enemies but He sustained David through every attack made by his enemies. David relied on God’s grace and love to carry Him through and we can do so too, using the weapons God gives us for the battles.

6/8/26 Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭11‬ ‭
Do you ever read or hear something that challenges what you believe about something in the bible? Well, I think I’ve been looking at the passage on the gospel armour all wrong. Every time I’ve read or listened to this I’ve imagined it applying to me, in isolation. But let me ask you a question - when would someone put on armour? The obvious answer is when they are going into battle. So the next question is does anyone go into battle alone? Of course not. So when we think about putting on God’s armour we should see every Christian putting it on together. Everyone is putting on our boots, our belts, our helmets and taking up our shields and swords together. We’re an army, God’s army, and He is equipping every one of us as we stand together in His Name. To do His will. To serve Him.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
Sometimes the demands of daily living can leave us feeling drained and rob us of the notch of intends for us. When we find ourselves tired, discouraged, or worse, there is a source from which we can draw power needed to recharge our spiritual batteries. That source is God.
God wants us to lead joyous lives filled with spiritual abundance and peace. Sometimes those blessings seem elusive. It is then that we must turn to God for renewal.
God expects us to work hard, but He also intends for us to rest. Is our spiritual battery running low? Is our energy on the wane? If so, turn to God and accept the rest and recharging only He can offer.

“ Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Psalm 90:12
Time is a nonrenewable gift from God, but sometimes we treat our time here on earth as if it wasn’t a gift at all. God wants us to use our time wisely. He has said He has given us life and life to the full. As we decide how to spend our time today, this week - remember each new day is a special treasure to be savoured … and used wisely. As a child of God we have much to celebrate and much to do.
It is up to each of us to honour our Creator for the gift of time by using that gift wisely.
Enjoy your day!

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 10:23
The Bible makes it very clear that God is always faithful. This does not mean that we, His children, are exempt from life’s troubles and tragedies.
It means that God will preserve us in our difficulties, not from our difficulties.
God’s faithfulness is made clear in the beautiful words of the psalmist: “yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
When we walk through life’s darkest valleys, God walks with us and carries us. He is always present, always willing to lead those who are willing to follow.
Take comfort in God’s love and faithfulness. Trust His unfailing promises. Follow and trust Him today.

“Make a joyful noise to the LORD all the earth!
Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into His presence with singing!
Know that the LORD, He is God!
It is He who made us, and we are His, we are His people the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise!
Give thanks to Him; bless His name!
For the LORD is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 100
As we continue to focus our thoughts on God let us to continue to give thanks in a Psalm we know well - as we read or sing the 100th will we echo the words “ For the LORD is good” and will we “serve the LORD with gladness”
Hallelujah! Praise the LORD

“Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.”
Please read the rest of the Psalm and take in the power of the LORD’s voice.
Yesterday our Psalm gave praise and thanks for God’s faithfulness.
Today, we have a hymn of praise for His awesome power in creation with the title “Ascribe to the LORD glory.”

“ Praise the LORD, all nations! Extol Him all peoples!
For great is His steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.
Praise the Lord!”
Psalm 117
This is a hymn of praise inviting all nations to praise the living God. All nations not just Israel. Inviting us to praise God.
How powerful the title of this Psalm - the LORD’s faithfulness endures forever.
Today praise the LORD for His steadfast love and faithfulness.

“ whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17
Our thoughts this week have been around being thankful.
Perhaps some of us are feeling crushed today or surrounded by dark clouds, God promises us His love, His strength, His grace. That’s certainly a reason for us to thank Him during both good and trying times.
Have we added to our thank you list today? God’s blessings are so much more than we can count. Slow down and offer a prayer of thanksgiving to the One who has given us life on earth and life eternal.
