At the beginning of the year in Engage, we decided that we wanted to explore some BIG BIBLE WORDS and discover what they actually mean.

We can become so familiar with seeing these words in the Bible and hearing them used in Christian teaching that we sometimes breeze over them without taking the time to understand their meaning or recognise their importance.

Throughout this mini-series, we are exploring what some of the big words at the heart of the Christian faith mean, why they matter and what we can learn from them as young people.

Earlier this month, Colin Piggott shared with us about the word justification. We were reminded that justification means receiving what we do not deserve because of what Jesus Christ has done for us.

In simple terms, although we are guilty of sin, God declares everyone who trusts in Christ to be righteous in His sight. This is not something we can earn through good works or achieve by trying harderโ€”it is a gift of Godโ€™s grace, made possible because Jesus took the punishment that we deserved.

Due to recent local unrest and the possibility of further disruption today due to a parade taking place within the area, we have made the decision to cancel our plans for tomorrow evening.

This is disappointing at the best of times, but especially since tomorrow evening was due to be our final gathering of the current season. However, we are hoping to get arrangements in place for a final night of Engage later in June, so keep an eye on our socials for that!
