🎄 A heartfelt thank you to the Lyric Theatre Belfast! 🎄

We are incredibly grateful to the Lyric Theatre for their wonderful support of The Salvation Army’s Family Appeal this Christmas. On the opening night of A Christmas Carol, the Lyric invited audiences to bring a new, unwrapped gift for children aged 0–16 years, with volunteers on hand to receive donations.

This year’s production—reimagined in Dickensian Belfast by Marie Jones and starring Dan Gordon as Ebenezer Scrooge—beautifully captures the spirit of generosity, and we are so thankful that the Lyric chose to extend that spirit to families in need.

With the cost-of-living crisis continuing to affect so many, the Family Appeal is more important than ever. Last year, thanks to amazing community partners like the Lyric, Tesco, Bridge Commercials and Phoenix Energy Services, we were able to support over 2,000 families across Northern Ireland.

💝 There’s still time to help!
Unwrapped gifts can be donated at Salvation Army churches and centres until 19 December, or online via JustGiving. 👉 https://www.justgiving.com/page/familyappeal2025

Thank you once again to the Lyric Theatre and to everyone who has already given so generously. Your kindness will make Christmas brighter for children and families across our community. ❤️✨

🌟 Be A Star This Christmas with Tesco! 🌟
We’re delighted to partner once again with Tesco to support The Salvation Army Family Appeal, helping bring joy to families across Northern Ireland this festive season.
With the rising cost of living, more families than ever will need support this Christmas. Last year, over 2,000 families — more than 5,000 children — received gifts thanks to the generosity of the public. This year, your kindness can make an even bigger difference.
🎁 How You Can Help:
Tesco customers can Be A Star by donating new, unwrapped gifts at designated Tesco stores until 8 December. Look out for the special Salvation Army ‘Be A Star’ donation banks located in participating stores.
A huge thank you to Tesco for their continued support and for providing convenient drop-off points that help make this appeal possible.
💛 Prefer to give online? You can donate directly through our JustGiving page:

Your donation can help provide craft items, books, family board games or gifts for teenagers — every contribution is gratefully received.
Applications for support are made through social workers, health visitors, teachers and other professionals, ensuring help reaches those who need it most.
