Good morning 🙏🏻
Today, 21 September, we mark the United Nations International Day of Peace — a worldwide call to strengthen the ideals of peace and reconciliation.

Here at Clonard Monastery, we join people around the world in prayer for an end to war, violence and division.

We remember all who suffer because of conflict, and we pray for healing wherever there is hurt or hatred.

May we have the courage to be peacemakers — in our homes, our communities and every encounter.

Lord, make us instruments of your peace.

Today we wish Fr Oan safe travels as he begins his journey home to Indonesia for a few weeks of holiday and some precious time with his family, friends and confrères.

Fr Oan has become a much-loved part of our Clonard family, and while we’ll miss having him around over the coming weeks, we’re delighted that he has this opportunity to return home, spend time with those closest to him and enjoy a well-earned rest.

Have a wonderful time at home, Fr Oan. Enjoy every moment, travel safely, and know that all of us here at Clonard Youth Ministry will be thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers.

Sunday Gospel Reflection | Matthew 20:1–16

God’s generosity doesn’t always fit our idea of fairness.

In today’s Gospel, everyone is welcomed into the vineyard, even those who arrive at the very last hour. Jesus reminds us that God’s love is not something we earn or compete for—it is a gift, freely given.

Sometimes we compare ourselves with others and wonder why they seem to receive more. But God invites us to stop comparing and start trusting.

There is a place for everyone in God’s vineyard. No one arrives too late. No one is beyond His welcome.

“The last will be first, and the first will be last.”

Lord, help us to be grateful for your generosity 🙏🏻

Today we celebrate Fr Johnny Doherty C.Ss.R. on the Diamond Jubilee of his Ordination to the Priesthood — 60 years as a Redemptorist priest.

We give thanks to God for Johnny’s faithful service, his commitment to the Redemptorist mission, and the blessing his priestly ministry has been to so many people over the past 60 years.

Wishing Johnny every blessing as he celebrates this wonderful milestone.
