We are very excited to be welcoming Andy Bannister, Solas, to speak at a number of events next month!

This event, 'Sharing our Faith in a Culture of Confusion' is being hosted in partnership with Holywood Baptist Church and will focus on helping people think through how we witness and disciple the increasing number of people with little or no Christian worldview or knowledge.

Andy is the Director of Solas and is an evangelist, speaker, writer, and broadcaster. From universities to churches, cafes to pubs, schools to workplaces, Andy regularly addresses audiences of both Christians and those of all faiths and none on issues relating to faith, culture, politics and society. He was co-editor and a contributing writer for Have You Ever Wondered? and authored How To Talk About Jesus Without Looking Like An Idiot, Do Muslims and Christians Worship the Same God? and The Atheist Who Didn’t Exist. He also co-hosts the Solas podcast, PEP Talk, and presents the Short Answers video series for Solas. You can also follow his writing on his blog: www.andybannister.net

All are welcome to this event and there is no need to register, come along and join us at Holywood Baptist on the 7th June at 7pm!

We are delighted to be publicising our next and final Inklings event for this 2025-26 season and are absolutely thrilled to welcome Andy Bannister, Solas, to speak on the subject of 'Made in Whose Image? Is AI Making us Less Human?'.

Artificial intelligence is growing rapidly in reach and capability and many of us find this unsettling. Things we thought only humans could do can now be done - and faster - by machines. Are we just meat based machines doomed to being surpassed by our own creations? Or is there more to being human than just the sum of our thoughts? Andy Bannister will help us explore some cutting edge questions - and some age-old ones - and help us see why “what does it mean to be human?” is a question on which so many other things stand.

On Saturday we joined with St Mark's, Dundela, Belfast for our CSLI Belfast Fellows Love In Action day. St Mark’s have launched an exciting Lewis Legacy project to refurbish the Old Rectory (C.S. Lewis’s Grandparent’s home) for discipleship and creative gospel purposes. To find out more visit their website and register your interest. For us, it was all about getting stuck in with the practical tasks to show our Love In Acton. We are delighted to play some small part in what is happening at St Mark’s and the surrounding community and look forward to future partnership in making disciples in Belfast and beyond. Aslan is on the move!🦁

Last weekend 3 of our current Fellows; Tasha, Debbie and Andrew, shared with their church family Newtownbreda Baptist, Belfast about their discipleship journey on the Fellows Programme. They encouraged applications for the New Fellows Year 26/27 before the closing date 15th May 2026. They each wrote a short testimonial for the weekly church bulletin and then on Sunday chatted in the foyer with folks after both morning services. They were joined by Sheryl, who completed the Fellows programme last year, and mentor Karena.
