At our Bible study tonight, one of our church members expounded
It was a timely and reassuring word.
One verse in particular stood out in the midst of all thatโs happening across Belfast:
The Psalmist doesnโt say that God is a refuge ๐ง๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ trouble, but a refuge ๐ช๐ฏ trouble.
Our circumstances may change by the hour. Headlines may unsettle us. Communities may be anxious. Yet the Lord remains exactly as He has always been: our refuge, our strength, and our very present help.
God is not distant. He is not absent. He is nearer to us than the very turmoil that surrounds us.
Tonight, letโs pray for Belfast. Letโs look to the God who was the refuge of His people in ages past and who remains their refuge still.
