BLAZE 🐝🇿🇼

Blaze is still sharing stories of the trip with the Kerrs to Zimbabwe. It seems like they had a brilliant trip together!

Another event that Blaze got to be part of was at a church.

On Sunday, Blaze went to church at Mbare congregation - one of the first CCAP congregations. A joint service with lots of great singing. The church was packed and some people had to sit outside or in the floor at the front.
Blaze enjoyed lunch too, especially the sadza which is a common part of Zimbabwean meals. It was delicious!

BLAZE

Blaze is back from the trip to Zimbabwe with the Moderator and his wife - Richard and Brenda Kerr. Blaze had a great time!

Here is one of the events that Blaze got to take part in:

One day, they visited Rock Haven where groups can have camps/retreats and where the theological college meets. Blaze helped Richard and the moderator of Harare synod to dig a hole where the synod hopes to build a new college.

FAITH IN THE FAMILY DURING SUMMER

It can be tricky managing everything in the summer from Holiday Bible Clubs to childcare to holidays all while juggling work and other responsibilities.

Sometimes things like regular family times of reading the Bible and praying together slip because of the lack of normal routine. Or maybe (like many of us) they are not always in a regular routine at the best of times.

Below are some ideas which may help over the summer to have conversations about faith, the Bible and following Jesus.

HOLIDAY BIBLE CLUB - KILFENNAN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

I had a great morning at Kilfennan's Impact Kids Holiday Bible Club and Toddler Stay and Play this morning.

There were songs, scientists, games, snacks, puppets and crafts. And there was a brilliant team from both Kilfennan and further afield making it all happen.

It was a joy as always to visit the northwest and see another congregation sharing Jesus with children, families and the local community through all of their events this week!

Thank you for having me!

RESTART SUNDAY

A Restart school Sunday church service is a fantastic, practical way to pray for and encourage your children, young people and school staff at the start of a new school year, showing them that God and His Church are interested in their everyday lives.

A wide variety of churches, both large and small, some with few children and others with many, mark the start of a new academic year by holding a Restart Sunday service. There is no set date for Restart school Sunday – just pick a date at the end of August or in September that suits.

As part of our aim to empower the local Church to pray, get involved and support schools’ ministry, SUNI have created Restart school Sunday.

HOLIDAY BIBLE CLUB - CAVANALECK AND AUGHENTAINE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCHES

What a brilliant morning and early afternoon at this Holiday Bible Club, held in Fivemiletown College with some other local churches.
140+ children, local leaders from 5 congregations and a small team of Americans.
Another great story of smaller churches working together to have a bigger impact and share Jesus with local children.
Thank you for having me!
