🎉 75th Anniversary Celebrations 🎉

Wow! Now that the dust has settled…WHAT.A.WEEKEND!

On 19th–20th September, we had the joy of celebrating 75 years of God’s faithfulness to Church of the Nazarene in East Belfast, and it was simply outstanding 👌

Saturday was our Church Open Day, with BBQs, crafts, inflatables, tea and coffee, a tour of the building with our resident historian Dr Graham Greenlee — and, of course, “Soak the Pastor”! 😂💦 (we can confirm the poor man looked and felt like a drowned rat 👀)

That evening we gathered for our 75th Anniversary Meal. There was plenty of good food, laughter, old photographs, a quiz, memories shared and words from former pastors Rev Norman Patterson and Rev Ivan Miles. We were also so grateful to have Rev Dr Mark Louw bring a powerful word in season.

Sunday saw our 75th Anniversary Service and it was a really special morning we gathered and sang songs old and new, looked at photos and watched videos from across the years, our children got involved, and people shared what Megain means to them. Once again, Dr Louw brought a powerful and timely word to the church.

75 years is a lot of history. It’s generations of people, countless prayers, thousands of services, children growing up, families being formed, people coming to faith, people finding hope, and so many who have faithfully served Jesus through Megain. We give thanks for every person who has played, and continues to play, their part in our story.

A huge thank you to our Regional Director, Rev Dr Mark Louw, and his wife, Linda, to Mark and Linda Louw for being with us for the weekend. Their kindness, love and ministry toward us has left a lasting impact on us as a people! And thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend so special 🙌🏻

And as we look ahead, we do so with faith and hope. Trusting that the same God who has been faithful for the past 75 years remains faithful as we continue to share the hope and love of Jesus with East Belfast. And we do so in the knowledge that, with Jesus, the best is yet to come! 🙌🏻

Thus far has the Lord helped us! Lord, here we are, and we’re ready for whatever You have next. ❤️

THIS SUNDAY AT MEGAIN 🙌🏻

We’re so excited to gather together for another Sunday of welcome, Word and worship at Megain Nazarene.

As part of our service we’ll be collecting our Alabaster Offering, a denominational offering that is used to build hospitals, churches, pastors’ homes and renovations throughout the 165 different world areas where the Church of the Nazarene has a presence - with 100% given going to help this cause throughout the world 🌍

Whether you’re here every week, haven’t been in a while or have never been before - remember, it’s not Church without U! 😃

We’re so sorry for the late notice, but the decision was taken out of our hands.

HOWEVER

We’re so excited to be back NEXT THURSDAY for our restart at 10:30am 🙌🏻

We're very proud of our very own Ben, and excited for all that God will do in and through him this year 🙌

We are thrilled to welcome our new intern, Ben onto the SUNI team this year!

Ben has just graduated from Queens University and will be will be interning in the area of North Down & Ards alongside our Schools’ Worker, Caroline.

Please pray for Ben as he gets to know the area and starts to engage children and young people in God’s Good News through assemblies, RE Lessons and SU groups!

We couldn't be more excited if we tried!!

This Sunday, we’re gathering together at 11am at Megain Nazarene for worship, fellowship and to hear the good news of Jesus.

It’s going to be a particularly special morning as Reece and Clíodhna present their two boys for dedication — a wonderful opportunity for us as a church family to pray for them, support their families and commit ourselves to helping them grow in faith.

Whether you’ve been part of Megain for years, haven’t been in a while, or have never been before — you are welcome.

After all, it’s not Chrch without U! ❤️

WE’RE BACK TOGETHER ❤️⛪️

And at 11AM, we’ll continue our “Thus Far” series with Pastor Sammy speaking as we look back at God’s faithfulness and look forward with hope for all that is still to come.

Lovely food, worship, good conversation and a story of God’s transforming power.

This Sunday, Rev Ruth Turner (DS, Church of the Nazarene BIND) will be sharing the story of how God transformed her life.
