Emotional day today. This little beauty was saved from the fire which demolished Jennymount Methodist Church. After a camping trip whilst returning the tents we found it broken glass in a corner underneath the pulpit. Taking it home to get much needed repairs done and restoration the church was consumed by fire 2 days later. God moves in mysterious ways!!

Today as the Company has closed we handed it over to the Heritage Building at Ganaway to where it belongs to put on show for all to enjoy as these are rare in such good condition.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of her Majesty the Queen and our Patron. For 70 years she dedicated her life to Service, her passion for her duty and her devout Christian Faith was the foundation of her wonderful long life.
As an organisation we reflect on the life and times of her Majesty and the History she has lived through both bad and good. We thank you for your Service and dedication to our nation.

Had Tiny been covering these miles on the mainland he would be stopped off in Brora just outside Inverness, recuperating in preparation for the last leg on Friday. Instead, he was covering them (for the most) part virtually on a Treadmill and is in work in Plumbmaster Bangor!

On Friday he will troop through the last 62/63 miles by walking from Haldane Fisher Newry to Haldane Fisher Enniskillen in 24hrs. Hi everyone, with a week to go of the finale of my walk I wanted to make an appeal on behalf of Inspire Wellbeing who we are helping with this mammoth walk.
Times are hard for everyone at present, cost of living rises are hitting hard. Regardless, Inspire do great work helping people cope with addiction and there general mental well being, services that a lot of people will rely on in the coming months and years.

**** IMPORTANT MESSAGE ****

Due to a number of factors creating a ‘Perfect Storm’ for our Company it has been decided that ALL SECTIONS of the Company be suspended for a further year.

Firstly without clear guidance from Government, Church and Boys Brigade Leadership, we cannot give a definitive start date that allows our activities to return as both the boys and ourselves enjoy.

Secondly through different and personal reasons we have lost a number of key Leaders who without their tireless devotion week in and week out the Company could not function and this has also hampered our efforts to return.

So it is with heavy heart I have to announce this news. We look to try and return in one year’s time but this is only if we can get the go ahead from Authorities to do so FULLY and if we can recruit new and trained leaders to move our great Company forward.

Congratulations to Mr&Mrs Hill on their happy day. Matt Hill an old boy of the Company came to me many years ago and asked me to be a co-sponsor of his attempt to be a leader at a Camp for American kids in the summer. I was happy to do so and it was here he met Rachel his now wife.
It is great to see how we can in a small way help influence these young men and set them on the path for a bright and happy future. I wish both of them a life fulfilled with happy memories with each other and their families.

Could I ask everyone to keep these poor young people the minister and 8 other people in your prayers. Boko Haram (Islamist terrorists) drove into the mainly Christian village and began indiscriminately firing on people. Before leaving they burnt the Church down also. Please pray for the people of Pemi.
