This Friday evening, Culture Night in Belfast, the choristers will sing a short concert featuring also the choral scholars and the two new organ scholars. Do come along and support them from 6pm for an hour.

The funeral requiem for Wesley McCann will take place this Thursday (10th September) at 11am.

We are saddened to report the death of long standing parishioner Wesley McCann. Wesley was one of the nominators who appointed Rev. Brian as Rector 32 years ago and held many positions in the parish over the years.

Funeral arrangements to follow.

A date for the diary

We are delighted to welcome the London Universities Church Choir to St Georges to sing Evensong at 5pm on Thursday 27th August.

The choir was formed in 1992 following the closure of the University of London chaplaincy at the Church of Christ the King. As well as well known litrugical settings they like to promote new compositions and encourage new and upcoming organists.

Everyone welcome and a real musical treat is in store.

David McElderry is very much missed and fondly remembered by us all but his legacy to organ music lives on.

Congratulations to Abigail Grafton of Eastman School of Music who was the winner of the David McElderry Prize at the Northerm Ireland International Organ Competition. Abigail is pictured with David's sister, Norah, who presented her with the £1000 prize.
