In the midst of unrest, we lift our eyes to the One who remains unshaken.

โ€œGod is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.โ€ โ€” Psalm 46:1

As a church, we stand together in prayer for Belfast, choosing faith over fear, peace over anger, and hope over despair. Though the world around us may feel uncertain, Christ has overcome the world, and His peace still guards our hearts and minds.

We are deeply saddened by the horrific act of violence that took place in North Belfast. As a church, we condemn this act in the strongest possible terms. Violence has no place in our society.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim and their family during this difficult time. We pray for healing, and comfort.

We also pray for peace across our city. Belfast is home to people from many different backgrounds, cultures, and nations. At moments like these, it is important that we resist hatred and reject division.

This is a time for unity, compassion, and calm. Let us stand together for peace and for the wellbeing of all who call Belfast home.
