"Then Yahweh called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting..." Leviticus 1:1 (LSB)

At present, we are meeting for worship once a month (first Sunday of the month) at 10:30am. This Sunday (5 Nov) we are celebrating the Lord's Supper and continuing our series in Leviticus. We have been camping out in 1:1 for a while. First we looked at what precedes Leviticus in Exodus. Then we looked at the Divine Name: Yahweh. Last month, we looked at Moses. This month, we are considering the Tent of Meeting - a fitting topic for the Lord's Supper.

Rev Samuel Haliday 📖

The book below has just been published by the Presbyterian Historical Society of Ireland . It tells the story of the Rev Samuel Haliday who was not only a pioneer of Non-Subscription, but also had a varied and fascinating career travelling around Europe as a scholar, an army chaplain, and accompanying the nephew of Sir Hans Sloane (the Killyleagh-born founder of the British Museum) on a grand tour. A close friend to many of the leading theologians and ministers in all parts of Europe, especially Geneva, the full story of his life is told in this book.

Copies are available in church at a price of £3. Eventually they will be available directly from the PHSI website and copies can be posted for price of £4.

It is planned that there will be a public launch of the booklet in First Church Belfast (where Samuel Haliday ministered) in November. Details to follow.
