“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” We are part of the Church of Ireland and the greater Anglican Communion. Like most churches within inner city Belfast, our numbers are small, but our service to the worship of God is bigger and stronger than our small numbers may suggest. Located within Sandy Row we have one of the biggest and most challenging mission fields within the church and our response is stated in our aim: ‘Serving Christ in the Community’.

We’ll be looking at Matthew 20:1–16, the parable of the workers in the vineyard and what it has to say about God’s generosity, grace and the way we see ourselves and others.

🔥 SUNDAY AT ST AIDAN’S 🔥

This Sunday we’re gathering at St Aidan’s as we continue our journey through Matthew’s Gospel.

We’ll be looking at Matthew 18:21–35, Jesus’ challenging and powerful teaching on forgiveness.

How many times should we forgive? What does it look like to receive forgiveness and extend it to others?

Come along as we worship, reflect on God’s Word and gather together as a church family.

🎱 SNOOKER CLUB IS BACK! 🎱

We’re back this Thursday night!

Come along for a few frames, a cuppa, a chat and plenty of craic. Whether you’re a regular, haven’t been in a while or have never been before, you’re very welcome.

As part of our plans for the new term, we’re looking forward to making more of our Snooker Club from October with more opportunities to get together, more activities and more time spent together.

Huge thank you to everyone who came along to our fundraiser on Friday evening. Today was the Tour De 4 cycle and it was a fantastic day, with millions being raised for cancer charities is the UK. Our team of 4 from Uni days did this last year and returned today with extra significance... Andy, in the middle of the picture, was diagnosed with prostate cancer around 9 months ago and we continue to hope and pray for his recovery, which remains uncertain. As with last year my nominated charity is the Friends of the Cancer Centre in Belfast. Anyone who wants to support this can do so here

🔥 BLACKSTAFF’S GOT TALENT! 🔥

It’s nearly here! This Friday night we’re getting together for a night of talent, entertainment and plenty of craic, all while raising money for two fantastic charities.

Whether you’re taking to the stage or just coming along to enjoy the show, we’d love to see you there!

We’ll hear from Brian and Barry about their big cycling challenges, as well as more about Friends of the Cancer Centre and Cancer Fund for Children and the work they do and where your support will go.

There’ll be refreshments, entertainment and hopefully a few surprises along the way!

🔥 ALL IN SUNDAY 🔥

One of the things we really want to prioritise in this next season is our children and families. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We want to make the most of the spaces we have, creating places where children and young people can meet, have fun, build friendships, learn about Jesus and feel that they genuinely belong.

We’ve got plans for how we can develop our children’s ministry and make better use of our spaces, and we’re excited to get started!

It won’t all happen overnight. We want to make sure we have the right safeguarding procedures, volunteers and structures in place before we begin. But our aim is to get things moving as soon as we can.

This is about making sure children and families aren’t just an addition to church life, they are a priority.

🔥 ALL IN SUNDAY 🔥

Being part of church isn’t just about signing up, giving your time or getting involved in a ministry. It’s also about being together.

The early church in Acts didn’t just pray and serve, they shared life together. They ate together, talked together, laughed together and made time for one another.

And we want to make more space for that at Blackstaff.

🎱 Changes are coming to our Thursday night Snooker Club with more regular opportunities to meet together and play, more activities to be involved in, and more chances to simply spend time together.

Because church isn’t just something we do. It’s a community we belong to.

This is about creating more opportunities to build friendships, to invite people along, to get to know people, have a laugh and support one another.

More time together, more community and of course... more details coming soon…

🔥 ALL IN SUNDAY 🔥

This Sunday we’re looking at the early church in Acts 2:42–46 and how prayer shaped everything they did.

If we want to see God move in our church and community, it starts with prayer.

Come along this Sunday as we begin exploring what it means to become a praying church.

We’re also inviting people to join a praying group. A regular weekly commitment to pray for our church, our community and ourselves. We’ll have opportunities to sign up for a set time and become part of a group of people who are committed to praying together and seeing what God will do.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
