Blackstaff Union

Blackstaff Union Welcome to the Blackstaff Union. Three churches in partnership: St. Mary Magdalene, St. Aidan's & St. All who join us for worship are assured of a warm welcome.

Simon's, Church of Ireland

Psalm 133

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” We are part of the Church of Ireland and the greater Anglican Communion. Like most churches within inner city Belfast, our numbers are small, but our service to the worship of God is bigger and stronger than our small numbers may suggest. Located within Sandy Row we have one of the bigge

st and most challenging mission fields within the church and our response is stated in our aim: ‘Serving Christ in the Community’.

🔥 Pentecost Sunday at St Aidan’s 🔥

This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost, one of the most important moments in the Church’s calendar when the Holy Spirit was poured out abundantly.

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"
Acts 2:21

Come and join us as we gather to worship, pray, and celebrate the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives today.

Join us this Sunday at 12:30pm (a later start due to marathon road closures 🏃‍♂️).

A change in time brings the chance to enjoy a slower morning, maybe a longer lie-in, or even cheer on the runners in our community before heading over.
Why not take the opportunity to invite someone along who couldn't normally make it?
We’d love to see you there.

This Sunday at 11am in St. Simon’s 🙌

We're looking forward to a special Sunday as we’re celebrating a baptism alongside sharing in Holy Communion.

Normally when it’s a communion Sunday we don’t have tea and coffee afterwards but please note this week is different. Because it’s a baptism, we’ll have refreshments after the service ☕🍰

It’s a great chance to stick around, support the family, and celebrate together as a church community.

Everyone very welcome, why not bring a friend this week

⚠️ Reminder: Next Sunday’s service will be at the later time of 12:30pm due to road closures for the marathon. ⚠️

Join us this Sunday (19th April) for our Annual General Vestry Meeting.

This is an important moment in the life of our church as we have the opportunity to hear about the business side of the church over the past 12 months, including updates on our finances, plans for what's ahead and all that has been happening behind the scenes.

We’ll begin with a short Select Vestry meeting after church, followed by the General Vestry Meeting starting no later than 1pm (hopefully even before that!).

This year is what is known as a triennial year, so there are a few extra elections that happen every 3 years as we select individuals to represent us at regional church gatherings.

We’ll be meeting in St Mary Magdalene as one vestry for the united parishes of St Mary Magdalene, St Aidan with Christ Church, and St Simon with St Philip (Drew Memorial).

We’d really encourage you to come along, stay, and be part of it.
I promise there'll be coffee
