September is a significant time for children, young people and their families as they start or return to school, college or university. For many of us, it's also an opportunity for a fresh start as we seek to be salt and light in the places God has called us.

We're inviting churches to take part in Restart School Sunday any time during August or September.

Across the country Camps and Missions have been in full flow. It was a privilege to join P7 Camp for two of the morning sessions as they prepare for their move to Post Primary School in September! Lovely to hear today about all the fun they had after I left yesterday! Praying for them all as they enjoy the rest of their week and learn more from Peter about following Jesus!

🎉 Junior SU Graduates 2026 🎉

A huge congratulations to our Year 10 pupils who have been part of Junior SU over the past three years!

This week we celebrated their ‘graduation’ from Junior SU as they get ready to move on to Senior SU. It’s been wonderful to see the friendships they’ve built, the fun they’ve shared and the encouragement they’ve been to one another along the way.

We wish them all the best for the next stage of their SU journey and look forward to seeing them in Senior SU next year. Well done, Year 10! 👏✨

This morning was our last assembly of the school year - and a delight to join Islandmagee Primary School!

We thought about the amazing places we are going to over the summer and about how we are moving on to our new classes - and we were reminded that God will go with us wherever we are! That he is “a great big God” who is bigger than “the universe” and as David wrote in Psalm 139

“If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.”

God is everywhere and no matter where we find ourselves he will guide us and be with us!

Outside it might not have been the sunshine of the last few days but Rev. Matthew (Ballynure Presbyterian Church) and I had a great time with our final week in the P7 class of Ballynure Primary School. We hope they enjoy all the fun they had planned for the rest of today - making the most memories they can to take with them as they move to post primary school.
