Living Hope Belfast is a church & charity located in the Shankill Estate, Belfast, Northern Ireland, where we have been a presence in the community for over 80 years. We provide many activities for all ages from our toddler group to our Senior Citizens Lunch club and everything in-between.

Pastor's Thought for the Week

A word of encouragement today. God never wastes anything and has a purpose for everything in our lives even when it doesn't seem clear.

Job 34:21 says For his eyes are on the ways of a man and he sees all his steps.

He counts your tears, sees your sadness, hears your grief, draws close to your broken heart and comforts you as you hurt.

In all of that remember the powerful work God is able to do in your life as:

Only He can turn a mess into a message, a test into a testimony, a trial into a triumph and a victim into a victor.

There’s nothing like a Sunday at Living Hope Belfast ! 🙌🏻

Pastor's Thought for the Week

Discouragement can lead us all to feel at times weak, weary and faint.

In the Bible weak and faint are the same word which means 'the loss of strength' and weary means 'the exhaustion with life'. Into every life and situation God still speaks through his Word today.

Isaiah 40:31 but those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

The promise is given to those who wait on God that you are not just counting time, you do not need to run ahead of God and he will renew your strength in his time.

Remember the strength God gives you today is Divine, it is from him, it is Different, it exchanges your weakness for power and it is Daily, he gives you what you need for today 🙌🙌

Pastor's Thought for the Week

We heard a great word from Jack Roberts in church last night. Reading it again this morning I noticed the difference between only two words.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 THOUGH the fig tree does not bud and THOUGH there are no grapes on the vines, THOUGH the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, THOUGH there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, YET I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.

You may have a lot of THOUGHS this morning, THOUGH my prayer has not been answered, THOUGH my results are not good, THOUGH everything seems uncertain, whatever it maybe God really is in control.

Turn your THOUGHS into YET, YET I will rejoice in the Lord today for nothing you face is bigger than God

Your YET will turn your worry into worship, your panic into praise and your concerns into confidence in a God whose eye is upon you and whose hands are holding you today.

Encounter is on Tonight at 7.30pm. Here's five reasons we gather together to pray:

God's plan is we do things together.

It was one of the first things the early church did in Acts 2.

The Christian journey is not an lonely journey.

There is power in the purpose of prayer.

It encourages and strengthens us.

Another Sunday, another chance to gather TOGETHER!

This Sunday at our 10am & 11.30am services, Pastor Matt begins a new series: “How God Speaks”. God is not silent today!

At our 6.30pm service, Pastor Reece will be bringing a word from Ephesians 3:14-21 and we’ll be hearing a short testimony from Eric Wilson De Miranda.

Sundays are better when you’re there. We can’t wait to see you!

On Sunday we celebrated 25 years of faithful ministry from Pastor Matt & Athena.

It was amazing to see so many people come out to celebrate and show their gratitude for what God has done through the lives of our incredible leaders.

We give thanks to God for what has been, and we are excited for what is ahead. Praise God!
