Join us on Sunday morning at 11.00am as we commission some of our young people to serve on teams at home and overseas this summer and welcome guest speaker Phil Small from Christians in Sport.

As we do most Wednesdays, we will open the church building tomorrow from 10am-12 noon for people to come and sit in quiet reflection and prayer. If you are feeling anxious or fearful, you are especially welcome to come and find a place of calm and if you would like someone to listen to and pray with you, we will have someone there to do that.

The events in North Belfast last night were unspeakably awful. Everyone should be in prayer for the victim of the attack and for those who witnessed such a horrific incident.

While we will all be shocked and revolted by such violence, it is not appropriate or helpful for any in our society to call people on to the streets and encourage a violent response. Such a response only damages our communities and makes innocent people feel vulnerable and afraid. We need to remember, protect and pray for all those who have come from elsewhere to make N. Ireland their home and who contribute to the cultural vibrancy and growth of our society. And we need to reach out to anyone known to us who feels anxious or scared at the moment.

Now nearly at full time in my sabbatical. Returning to work on Monday thankful for the opportunity to rest, reflect, read and write. There has been something of a theme of refreshing. Words that were prayed over me before I left asked for a time of refreshing. The constant presence of different rivers, creeks, ponds, canals, waterfalls and, of course the ocean were a reminder of the living water that Jesus offers. Even a sermon focussed on ‘times of refreshing’ from Acts 3. I finish where I began on the north coast of home after time in Tennessee, Alabama and Oxford. Looking forward to renewing fellowship with my church family in Kirkpatrick and beginning a new season of ministry and mission together. Graeme

A bit of a half time report from my sabbatical. There’s been some travelling, some reconnecting with friends, some reading and some writing. It’s been a good time to slow down and remember what’s important in life and ministry. Just under two more weeks left in Selma before I return home and Paula will be joining me tomorrow. you for your prayers. Graeme

Storm Dave passed and allowed a few hardy souls to climb the hill to celebrate Easter Sunday. And we got a rainbow! 🌈
