Today we celebrated our Children & Youth with the help of Julie Fenton (CEF).
She helped us to learn to trust and turn to the Lord. We were also told the story of Helen Cadbury and the ministry she was involved in The Pocket Testament League- and of course we had Cadbury chocolate!

We had a great morning together.

2 Corinthians 12:9 reminds us that God says...
'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.'

And we are reminded in the words of the Song 'He giveth more Grace' that...
'When we have exhausted our store of endurance
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father's full giving is only begun.'

Listen to the Song and be assured of Gods strength for you today.

Please pray for our Toddler Clubs, never underestimate the work and Ministry that takes place in these groups.

Today we begin the National Month of Prayer for Parent and Toddler Groups.

Did you know that over half the Corps in the United Kingdom and Ireland Territory have a Parent and Toddler Group, and that it is the second most attended programme regularly held within Corps after Sunday Worship services?

Research by Talking Toddlers, updated in 2025, also shows that 4 out of 5 families with children under 5 in the UK have some contact with a church and that this is very often through a Parent and Toddler Group, and today a representative group of leaders, including from The Salvation Army, will be going to the Houses of Parliament in recognition of the launch this special month.

This means that our prayers for this area of mission and ministry are vital so please join us throughout this month of June as we pray using the theme for 2026, Jesus The Good Shepherd.

"Good Shepherd,
Thank you for every family and person who comes to our parent-and-toddler groups. Thank you that each one is known and loved by you.

Please watch over them and care for them. Through the welcome, kindness and love they receive, help them to see something of your love too.

Thank you for everyone who gives their time to serve and support these groups. Bless them as they show care and faithfulness to others.

Draw us closer to you, Good Shepherd, and help us to know you more. Amen."

( Prayer written by Major Sharen Furlong, DMO, London Division)

What a great day it has been here at Belfast North Corps for the Farewell Meeting of Majors Ian & Sally McBride.

The Majors write...
'We have been extremely blessed throughout our time at Belfast North. Today was our final Farewell Meeting which was organised by the Corps Leadership Team. It was a very special time in every way, including the questions from the Young People and all followed by a lovely lunch together. There was a very special moment at the end when the Choir sang John Rutters 'The Lord Bless Thee and Keep Thee ' as a Benediction.
Thank you to everyone for your fellowship and love shown to us over the years and especially today. You will forever have a special place in our hearts.
We will be praying for you that God will continue to bless you individually and as a Corps.'
