Thank you again for keeping James in your prayers these last few days. We wanted to share that surgery went well and successful on Tues, 2nd Jan. Praise God! 🙏🏽⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
The doctors have said that recovery will be about 2-3 months for general mobility and abouy 6 months until he is strong enough to return to work. This will be assessed by his physio team and is possible to be extended beyond this 6 months.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
We are praying that God would touch James’ body as he’s in this healing recovery season and give him the strength and mobility that is needed in order to return to work and life as normal.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀

Hey Guys!⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
We just wanted to give you an update, James went in this morning for his back surgery. He has come out and is doing well. The surgeon said that all went to plan and as expected; surgery was approx 2.5 hours as the vertebrae was slightly more unstable than they first thought.
For now, he is resting from surgery and is receiving relief from the pain. ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
James will be receiving a full update tomorrow including some potential recovery timescales for general mobility and then returning to work. The current projection of 2-3 months for recovery and 6 months before considering returning to work due to physical nature of the job.⁣⁣⠀

Please continue to pray for James, that he would be able to get a good night’s rest, relief from pain and a reduced recovery timescale. 🙏🏽⁣⁣⠀

Hello Everyone!⁣⁣⠀
We just wanted to say thank you so much for taking some time to pray for James in this time, it means so much to him and his family.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
At this time, James is scheduled for surgery this coming Tuesday. While there is no risk of paralysis, doctors are concerned if the broken vertebrae slips anymore it could cause life long issues.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
Please continue to pray for James as he heads into surgery in the coming days. A few key points we’re praying into at this time are :⁣⁣⠀

* That surgery on Tuesday goes well and that James would be discharged according to their plan… ⁣⁣⠀

* For the pain to be kept under control during pre and post op⁣⁣⠀

* A quick recovery in the healing process⁣⁣⠀

* For Faith and their two boys, as this has been alot for them to process and navigate this⁣⁣⠀

We are asking for prayer in this season for our senior leader, James McCartney. James was out working yesterday when he fell off a ladder and landed on his back, resulting in a break. ⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
He is awaiting to consult with doctors to see what the course of action will be, but we believe that God will bring healing to his back and make a supernatural recovery. Please join us in praying for him and his family as they navigate this season of healing that is before them.⁣⁣⠀

As we take this season to build in the background, we have some projects that God is laying on our hearts to begin going after:⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
1.⠀ Solicitor and Consultancy Fees - This is to help us register as a Charity. This has many benefits to us including being able to apply Gift Aid to donations made by any UK tax payer.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
2.⠀⠀Accountant and Tax Advisors - As our ministry grows our accounts and tax becomes more complex. Going forward we would annually use this service to help us prepare our Charity accounts for Companies House.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
3.⠀⠀UK Visa and Immigration Office Visa Sponsorship Application - This will give us the opportunity to have international missionaries come and serve Igniting Ireland.⁣⁣⠀
⁣⁣⠀
4.⠀⠀Equipment. When we return to public meetings in a few months there is some musical, sound, and technical equipment we would need to have in place.⁣⁣⠀

Building in the background…..

As you may of seen on our last post God has called us to a season of pause, but it's not a season of rest! We are busy building a solid foundation in the background in order to sustain what God is calling us to. ⁣⁣⠀

Hello! 👋🏽⁣⁣⠀
We wanted to share an important announcement with you that we have here at Igniting Ireland. After taking the summer to rest, reflect and pray into the next thing God has for us, we felt “Selah” rise up in our spirit… After much prayer, we have decided to extend our summer break until early next year.

We feel that it is pivotal time for our ministry to intentionally reflect and build towards what God is calling us to. So while our public gatherings are on pause we are continuing to work in the background putting in more structure and meeting as a team to pray, worship and grow together. ⁣⁣⠀

We are so thankful for your support, attendance, and prayers these last two years and we give God all the praise, honour and glory for how He has met us time and time again at our Igniting Worship Nights.⁣⁣⠀
