Easter at Tullycarnet Church

Join us for Easter celebrations at Tullycarnet Church. On Good Friday at 7pm, we will be reflecting on the ultimate sacrifice Jesus paid for our sin, guilt and shame, before gathering on Easter Sunday at 11:30am to celebrate the truth that Jesus is risen and alive today. Church will end with a celebratory lunch on Easter Sunday. All are welcome.

Testimony Event

On Sunday evening, we are delighted to have a mission team from Catalyst Church, Canyon City, Colorado with us. They will be leading us in worship, sharing some amazing stories about how God can transform real lives, and there will be a free pizza dinner.

Mothers' Day This Sunday

This Sunday, we will be giving thanks to God for the wonderful contribution of Mothers' and Grandmothers' in our lives. We will also be taking some time to remember any loved ones who may have passed away.

Easter Camp

We are delighted to announce that we will be running an Easter Mini-Camp on Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st March between 10am and 12 Noon at Tullycarnet Bowling Club Pavilion. We will have a wonderful team from the USA helping us to run this camp. It will be completely free with amazing songs, games, crafts and stories. We will also be providing a free lunch between 12 and 1pm for the children and parents/guardians. To sign-up, please use the below link. Bishop David warmly invites you to join him for the diocesan St Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Down Cathedral and Saul on Tuesday 17 March. The day has a decidedly Celtic flavour and a great atmosphere.

The theme for 2026 is Courage in the Line of Fire and we are delighted to have
Finnish MP Mrs Päivi Räsänen as our preacher at the Festival Service in Down Cathedral and the Mr Ian Bingham, Director of CARE NI as the preacher at Saul.

Päivi Räsänen is an eight-term member of the Finnish Parliament, and the former chairperson of the Christian Democrats and minister of the Interior. She is a medical doctor and has also published several books, where she reflects deeply on major questions of life and society, such as values, ethics, and faith. Mrs Räsänen is a determined and courageous leader who stands by Christian values and freedom of speech, even when they provoke intense debate.

Our varied programme begins early, but you can join us later at the 11.45am Festival Service followed by a complimentary ‘Picnic in the Pews’. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate our Patron Saint with friends and visitors of all denominations from Ireland and abroad.

Beginning on Wednesday, 18 February, Bishop David invites you to join him for 40 daily Lent devotionals exploring Revival and the early chapters of Acts. As we look at scripture, past revival accounts from our diocese, and discern what God is doing today, we will cry out together for a fresh move of his Spirit in Down and Dromore and throughout the island of Ireland. Each film will be released around 6.00am on the diocesan website, YouTube channel, Facebook and Instagram feeds.

This Sunday, we begin a new sermon series in the book of Esther. An intriguing book - the name of God is not mentioned once but his fingerprints are all over this story. Together, we will see that our God is always at work in our lives to fulfill his amazing purposes.
