24 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration - Feast of the Assumption. To honour the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, the Legion of Mary is organising 24 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration in St Agnes' Church, Andersonstown Road, Belfast. Adoration will begin following 7.00pm Vigil Mass on Friday 14th August and will continue throughout the night and the following day, stopping for 1pm Mass and recommencing after the Mass. Adoration will conclude before the 6.30pm Vigil Mass on Saturday, 15th August. ...Please circulate to let people know about this... and if free come to adore Jesus at any time, the doors of the chapel will be open.

108th anniversary of the Transverberation of the Heart of Padre Pio
Transverberation is an extraordinary grace received by some saints, such as Saint Therese of Jesus and Saint John of the Cross. The heart of God’s chosen one is pierced by a mysterious arrow or experienced like a dart that, penetrating, leaves behind a burning wound of love as the soul rises to the highest levels of contemplation of love and pain. Father Pio received this amazing grace on August 5, 1918.
