Hebrews 12v1-2
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”

The world behind me. The cross before me.

So often we can get caught up in worldly things which lead to guilt/shame/bad choices & sin, all holding us back from Gods kingdom.
But in light of Gods loving patience and forgiveness towards us we have the opportunity to move forward from these things and to strive towards fulfilling the greatest plan that God has for our lives, looking to Jesus who endured the cross for our sake.

Let’s RUN, RECALL & REFOCUS.

Ask yourself this: am I putting God my Heavenly Father, at the centre of everything?

Really been challenged recently on Verse 21 and 22 in particular. The son has come home with his tail between his legs, having chased after the world and all its short term 'pleasures' and has stated he is no longer worthy to be called the father's son. The father however gets the best robe he can find and covers his smelly, dirty son, the same son that previously said to his father he was better off as dead. What a challenge, what a lens to look at the gospel through. Despite our dirt and shame the father covers us by the blood of his son Jesus, even though we chose our own way. He made a way for us to be reunited to the Father. At times we may empathise with the son and say we are not worthy to be a child of God. Praise God that we can come boldly before the king of kings as a son and a daughter due to the wrath of God that was laid on Jesus Christ, and the forgiveness of our Sins once and for all Hallelujah. 🙌🏼✨

Why do we complain so much? Is it because our expectations fall far short of reality? The danger of complaining is that it can become a habit and we quickly forget that there are more things to be grateful for than to complain about. Sharing our opinions and experiences through various social platforms is so easy which does not help. Complaining more than we express gratitude to God encourages us to see life in a cluttered and messy way.

I have found writing down three things which I am grateful for at the end of the day so beneficial and thanking God for his blessings. ✍🏼 This helps keep my life in perspective and God-focused. 🙌🏼

1 Corinthians 1:9

She holds onto hope for he is forever faithful

I was chatting to someone after church yesterday and he asked me the question ‘what makes you love God more?’ I found it really hard to answer but I decided that leading worship is what makes me love God more. Being able to facilitate people spending time with God gives me a sense of purpose.

Being back at church is wonderful but I really miss playing and singing at the front and being able to bring across his love to others through that. 🎶❤️

The Lord doesn’t ask for much from us, just these 3 simple things- Act, Love & Walk. ✨
God asks us to do these things with him, side by side with God. He is there every step of the way. Start with one of these and build it up until all 3 are just part of your daily life and routine. What will you start with?
•Act justly?
•Love mercy?
•Walk humbly?
We would love the opportunity to help you if you need or want it- just send us a DM 📩

The harvest is plentiful 🌿but the workers are few

It’s easy to view this year as a write off with the mindset that there was little opportunity to reach out to those around us, but let’s use these days as opportunities to seek out alternative ways to ensure the gospel is shared. As restrictions ease, who could we be engaging with - the good news it’s not ours to keep.

John 4 35 -
Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.🌿

There have been a lot of struggles this year especially a lot of pain and times where we would admittedly needed support.

This verse encapsulates all those areas: that we have hope, but we have to patient in our waiting and through it all we need to be persistent in our prayers to a God who is fully in control, being; all powerful, all knowing and being an ever present God. 🙏🏼

All the simple things in life you take for granted, God in His goodness has provided for you.

God protects us, loves us, and gives us purpose.

He has brought us into the family of God.

What have you thanked God for today?
