Join us for our Christ, Coffee & Cake service 9.30am next Sunday 13 September on the theme of Learning Together for Education Sunday. Our friendly Biblically-based services aim to connect faith with everyday life. We hope to bring together younger and older people sharing together in our love for Christ. All welcome, services last around 45 minutes with coffee and cake served at the end of the service.

Thankyou to everyone who joined us for the Howard Prison Reformer talk with David Spademan, thanks to our panellists Ben and George prison officers from HMP Bedford and Laura Peggs. Thanks to Doreen our guide around the Howard sites. Thanks to Friends of Bunyan Museum and Janet Wootton for organising the event on John Howard’s birthday. From 3 September to 7 October, experience a stunning textile journey through Jesus' life, death and resurrection ✝️

Part of the hugely popular Threads Through the Bible trilogy by artist Jacqui Parkinson, Threads Through the Cross showcases the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus through intricate textile panels, with each panel over 2 meters high and ranging from 1.5 to over 3 meters wide.

THE PEOPLE’S EMERGENCY BRIEFING – Free screening + community discussion - 9th September

The briefing, introduced by Chris Packham CBE, sets out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for food security, public health, infrastructure, the economy and national security, alongside evidence-based actions that could reduce these risks.

The screening will be followed by a structured discussion. We welcome residents, community leaders, schools, faith groups and anyone else to explore what these issues mean here, in Bedford and how we can respond together.
