Transfiguration Church - Kempston

The Bishop of Bedford and the Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire invite you to a simple Act of Prayer and Reflection following the recent rail incident near Bedford station.

This is an opportunity for the community to come together in prayer and reflection, to remember the train driver who died, to pray for those who were injured, and to hold in our thoughts all those who have been affected. We will also give thanks for the emergency services, volunteers and all those who responded.

The service will take place at Elstow Abbey (MK42 9XT) on Friday at 5.00 pm, with a period of silence at 5.15 pm to mark one week since the incident.

All are welcome to attend and take part, in whatever way feels right for them.

Today the church remembers Richard of Chichester. Praying for those confirmed on Sunday that they may continue their walk closer with Christ. Thanks to Bishop Jane for being with us and to all who came and prayed with the 5 candidates.
