St Paul's is the town centre church of Bedford and Civic church of Bedfordshire. St Paul’s is a thriving parish church which worships in the high Anglican tradition of the Church of England. The church is of cathedral proportions and exercises a ministry of welcome to thousands of visitors every year. St Paul's is an all-age congregation and enjoys a flourishing musical and liturgical tradition. T

he church is open every day and we exercise a ministry of worship, witness and inclusive welcome in the town centre with a special care for the vulnerable and needy.

The choir leads music at the 10.15am Sunday Eucharist, sings monthly Choral Evensong, and rehearses Friday evenings (6–7pm).
No formal qualifications required — just a love of singing and a willingness to commit regularly.

On Tuesday 26 May, we welcome the Elbrus Trio; a vibrant, imaginative ensemble renowned for its sensitive approach to music. The programme at St Paul’s has a Gallic theme with works by Mel Bonis and Ravel. The recital will also feature the Piano Trio by Emmanuel Rhene-Baton, the French conductor and composer, who is inspired by impressionist composers, such as Debussy, and the Celtic music of his native Brittany.
