☕✨ Cafe Church at St Lambert’s Church ✨☕

Join us today at 11am for the most relaxed and welcoming form of Church you can imagine!

We start at 11am and gather in the choir stalls ( much more cosy than traditional pews) enjoying coffee, tea and snacks whilst catching up and sharing a chat with one another.

Morning praise is how we then enjoy worship. No hymn books all digitally led with a screen.

We reflect on what’s happening in the news and what we would like to prayer for, aswell as prayer for our individual and community needs 🙏🏻

We encourage a calm space to explore faith together and a chance to pause and reflect in a very relaxed atmosphere.

Whether you come regularly, haven’t been to church in years, or are simply curious, you are very welcome.

🕚 Today at 11:00am (one hour service)
📍 St Lambert’s Church, Burneston led by Rev James Gwyn Thomas.

Come as you are — we’d love to see you there.

DEMENTIA AWARENESS - June 12th - 1:15pm - Kirklington Village Hall.
We shall be hosting a training session by Fiona Andrews, Community Education Co-ordinator from Dementia Forward. This 90 min session will help us understand the nature of dementia more and will also will be full of practical advice on how to treat and love those with differing types of dementia in our families and community. This time will also increase our awareness on the pressures of those caring for loved ones with this condition are going through. Many of us will come into contact with people struggling with this illness and we feel it is our duty to do all we can to train ourselves and be the best community we can be when it comes to helping, loving and accepting those going through this. This session is completely free so please come and join us as we strive to be a dementia friendly community and church.

Amendment to our service this week:

In Village Life it will say that there is a 10.30am service on Sunday here at St Michael’s Kirklington.
Due to Kirklington hosting the Whit Summer lunch, the 10.30am service is actually taking place at St Mary’s church Wath 10.30am.

May is a 5 week month and when we gain this fifth Sunday we have just the one service that- day our ‘Hallikeld Service’ where we encourage the whole Benefice to come together as one family.
Hope to see you there or at the Summer Lunch 12.30pm.
