The 2026 Wirral Coastal Walk is the 40th year this event has been organised by the Rotary Clubs of Wirral

This a fun way to fundraise together, whatever your age or ability. You can take part as an individual, as a family or as part of a team, and there are no age restrictions.

So, dust off those walking shoes and invite, enrol, persuade and cajole family and friends into joining you for a great day out whilst raising money for your favourite charity or good cause.

Welcome Townfield walkers. We will meet at the Floral Pavilion to start walking together at 9am, so that those of us that wish to complete the whole route should arrive at Thurstaston at about 1pm just in time for the BBQ! We are walking in support of the Food Bank, so please do get sponsors....

We are excited to again be going to play some crown green bowls after the morning service on Sunday 17th May. This year we are going to Birkenhead Park, as it is wheelchair friendly. There is plenty of parking on Park Road North, with the entrance to the Green from that road. Or you can enter from inside the park. Postcode: CH41 4EZ. There is no need to sign up for this, just turn up and bring your packed lunch, something to sit on and bowls if you have any (there will be sets available in you don't).

Christian Aid Week 10th-16th May
It is that time of year again when we think about how we can support Christian Aid projects that are helping communities across the world. We have various activities and opportunities to give planned for the week:
· Breakfast – Sunday, 10th May 9am-10am
Join us for sausage/bacon batches and pastries in the church hall. Suggested donation £2 per adult, £5 per family
· Coffee Morning – Saturday, 16th May 10am-12pm
Join us for coffee, tea and delicious cakes in the church hall. Come along for a natter and catch up with friends. Any donations of cakes would be appreciated.
· Christian Aid envelopes
Give cash in any of the envelopes that will be available in both churches over the next couple of weeks.
· Online giving
Give online by using the QR code found on posters in church or using the address below:
https://caw.christianaid.org.uk/envelope-2026/st-andrews-and-townfield
Finally please include Christian Aid in your prayers. Thank you

This Christian Aid Week, I’m supporting families facing hunger in Nairobi. Parents like Fridah are growing food in small city spaces so their children can eat. With tools, seeds and training, families can plan for the future. Please give what you can this Christian Aid Week.
