Join us at All Saints on Sunday (Pentecost 15/Trinity 14) for a 9.00am Said Eucharist (traditional language) and for our 10.30am Sung Eucharist when our preacher will be Canon Missioner the Revd Canon Dawn Matthew.

Dawn will also be joining us for a bring anf share lunch in the hall afterwards during which we will be completing the Natural Church Development questionnaire, the start of a process which will help us shape who we are and what we do at All Saints now and in the future.

We aim to livestream the 10.30 service on our main page and afterwards on our YouTube channel.

In the coming week on Wednesday there is 10.00am Morning Prayer and 10.30am Said Communion.

We are delighted to welcome the Revd Dr Kevin Francis formally as a member of our ministry team at All Saints with his appointment as Associate Priest.

Kevin has been offering invaluable support and cover for some time but we are very happy indeed that the situation has been recognised and agreed by the Bishop so that he has a proper role with us.

At one level not much changes and Kevin’s principal role is to support Revd David in all aspects of his ministry and to offer cover when he’s away – and this now formally extends to pastoral support for the congregation. Kevin continues as a PTO, holder of the Bishop’s Permission To Officiate, which authorises his leading worship within the Diocese and so he continues to offer deputising cover at other churches when required as at present.

As Associate Priest Kevin hopes to be able to play some part in encouraging lay leadership in our worship and in the further development of our Ministry Team.

God willing and the people consenting, the Rt Rev Dr Nicholas Bundock will ordain Stephen Parratt to the transitional diaconate on 27 September 2026. Stephen will then serve as curate of All Saints, Bearsden.

The ordination will take place at St Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Park Road, Milngavie G62 6PJ, beginning at 7pm (white stole). All are welcome!

The Rt Rev Dr Nicholas Bundock, Bishop of the United Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway, is pleased to announce the appointment of the Rev Kirsty Massey as Rector of St James the Less, Bishopbriggs. Details of her institution will be announced in due time.

Kirsty says, “I am very much looking forward to joining the congregation at St James the Less, as we work out together how God is calling us to share his love with the community of Bishopbriggs. Paul and I will be very sad to leave all the wonderful people in Anston, Firbeck, Letwell and Woodsetts, whilst for me it will mean coming home, for him living north of the border will be a whole new experience. It was good to meet several members of the Vestry in July, and we look forward to getting to know the whole church family soon.”

Bishop Nick says, “I am delighted that the Rev Kirsty Massey has accepted the call to become the next Rector of St James the Less, Bishopbriggs. Kirsty comes to us from the Diocese of Sheffield, where she is currently Priest in Charge and Oversight Minister. Before ordination, she spent many years in primary education, and brings considerable experience of teaching, pastoral care and encouraging others to discover and use their gifts. Kirsty has worshipped and ministered across a broad range of church traditions and brings a collaborative approach to leadership, together with a real commitment to community engagement, schools and ecumenical partnership. I am looking forward to welcoming Kirsty and her husband Paul to the Diocese, and to seeing this new chapter begin at St James the Less.”

Please pray for Kirsty and Paul, and the communities of Anston, Firbeck, Letwell, Woodsetts, and Bishopbriggs.
