This year over 120 shoeboxes have been sent to support two charities giving gifts this Christnas, the Amen Trust and Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child. Thank you to everyone who donated.

Seer Green Baptist Church are holding a special week of prayer between the 6th and 11th of July - please do pray for us as a church during this time as we seek God for our vision moving forward.

We will also be praying for our Seer Green village and there's a prayer post box outside the church if you have prayer requests for us to pray for. Or alternatively you can message via the comments button on this post.

With the help of Little Blessings, Torchlight and Connect +, Janna has made an entry so SGBC can take part in the village Scarecrow trail. Come and see which children's book characters are outside!

Torchlight were so generous in buying items from our shop to fill shoeboxes as Christmas presents to be sent to those children who might not otherwise get gifts. These girls were total stars making sure they were beautifully packed.

Curious about Faith?

Why not come to Seer Green Baptist Church during August and join in our Summer Alpha course. It’s an opportunity to explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. Everyone’s welcome, no matter your background, or beliefs. It’s free and there’s no pressure to come back.

TRAINING TO HELP US SUPPORT PEOPLE IN LATER LIFE

Venue: Seer Green Baptist Church, Wood Pond Close, HP9 2XG

Join us to explore how to be equipped and creative in supporting older people in your church and community. We've invited the Christian Charity, Embracing Age to run two training sessions on the 23rd March and 20th April (10.00 to 12.30 am). Workshops include: Church, A Great Place to Grow Old, Coming Alongside People with Dementia, Supporting Informal Carers and Having Supportive Conversations. Finally, on the 25th May (10.00 to 11.30 am) we finish with a review session to share learning and how we might grown these ideas in our church communities.

This coming Sunday (29th January) SGBC and Holy Trinity are hosting ‘Explore - Pop Up Church’ in Long Grove Woods, 3-3.45pm. All are welcome but particularly aimed at families with children, providing an opportunity for fun, creativity, activities and reflection. Pick up a hot chocolate or soft drink on your entrance to the woods via Farmers Way and come and join us 😊
