The River Idle Benefice Churches We welcome people of all ages to our varied services and events. Welcome to the page of the River Idle Benefice.

We are a group of five churches in the Parishes of Bawtry with Austerfield, Misson, Everton and Mattersey and we belong to The Riverfold Cluster in the Southwell and Nottingham Diocese. We are five churches who are part of one vision and team. These are the Parish Churches of St Nicholas', Bawtry; St Helena, Austerfield; St John the Baptist, Misson; Holy Trinity, Everton and All Saints, Mattersey.

Our Church family celebrated Trinity Sunday at Holy Trinity Church, Everton this morning. The bells sounded out and we had a great time together, learning about the Trinity and worshipping God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. At the end of the service, we all joined hands around the church for the traditional 'Clypping' ceremony as we gave thanks for the generations of faith and witness in our villages and we prayed for all people who live, work or visit. We enjoyed our picnic in the grounds and were even blessed with sunshine!! There is a revival of faith in our villages and it a joy to be a part of what God is doing. If you are searching for a place of welcome, hope and perhaps longing to experience joy that is tangible, please pop along to your local parish church, you are sure of a warm welcome.
