Services at each of our Benefice churches this week, on Sunday 6 September, 14th Sunday after Trinity or the new Festival of Creation. Do come and join us:

9.30am at St Andrew's and 11am at St Paul's Hanging Heaton - both communion services.

If you like to try something different come to our Cafe church services at St Thomas's at 9.30am or Batley All Saints (Batley Parish) at 11am. The theme is Peace on Earth? and will include a blessing of school and work bags or mobile phone at the beginning of the new school year. It is informal with things to do and cake to eat! Whether you come regularly or have never been before - you'll be very welcome.

The online service this week comes from Christ Church in Swindon and will be marking the new Festival of Creation. It will be live from 9am on the C of E website, page or YouTube channel and available for playback immediately after.

We have services in all of our four churches this Sunday 30 August, Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity. There is a place for you too:

St Andrew's 9.30 am and St Paul's Hanging Heaton 11am - both Holy Communion

St Thomas's 9.30 am and Batley All Saints 11am - both Morning Prayer

Our weekly online service comes from Christ Church Flackwell Heath in the Diocese of Oxford and will be live this Sunday from 9am on the C of E website, page or YouTube channel. It will also be available for playback immediately after. All of this service content is manually subtitled and contains British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation throughout.

Advance notice: next Sunday 6 September the services at St Thomas and Batley All Saints will be cafe church - an informal service of the word for all the family with an emphasis on fellowship, craft, conversation, coffee and cake! The theme for this service is Peace on Earth?

We will also mark new beginnings - a new year for both school, colleges and Sunday school, maybe also new jobs? So at Batley All Saints the Sunday school children will be much involved in the service and we ask not just the children but also adults to bring a bag or something else that represents their involvement in work or activity during the week, so we can bring our daily life's activities to God for his blessing.

We invite you to join us this Sunday, 23 August, 12th Sunday after Trinity, to either our 9.30am service at St Thomas's or 11am service at Batley All Saints - both services are Holy Communion. So there is no service at St Andrew's Purlwell or St Paul's Hanging Heaton.

There will be an online service at 9am through the usual channels of C of E website page or YouTube channel, but there are no details available at the moment of where the service will be coming from.
