Good evening Bathgate! Just a wee message to let you know we have an early team out tonight, they have been out the last 25mins and will crossover with our late team so we can cover more of the evening.
Please pray for the safety of our pastors and the public that are out tonight, and for fruit, that there is opportunity to share the love and grace of our Lord. Also thank the Lord for extra provisions that they can cover more hours in the evening.

Looking at this scripture, please pray that if any of our pastors come across any hostility or abuse that they may remember and be encouraged by Jesus teachings…

Jesus tells us in Luke ch 6 v 27&28
“But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.”

Good Afternoon Bathgate. Just to let you know our Street Pastors are out again tonight. Please pray for guidance and safety as they walk round the streets looking for people that may need help. Anyone out there needing help, please look out for the street pastors..they will be happy to assist in any way they can.

We also pray for wisdom in any given situation they may find and for the opportunity to share Gods good news! His grace and mercy and objective truth, that he will use our pastors to lead others to Him!

Good Evening Bathgate! Just a note to let you know our Bathgate Street Pastors Team are out tonight. Please pray for the safety of the team and those out tonight.

Romans 10:15-17 “And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?”
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

Please pray for opportunity to care for and guide those out tonight. And to pray for the opportunity to share the good news of the Lord, remembering the verse “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

Good Evening Bathgate, our pastors are out tonight. Please pray for fruit to come from their work and for their safety tonight. Pray also for the safety and guidance of those out tonight and that the pastors will walk with true wisdom, knowing how to help those in need tonight.

Psalm 111 v 10 tells us “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!”

In a commentary by John Gill, he breaks down the first part of the psalm:

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,.... The fear of the Lord, whose name is revered, is not a fear of his judgments here or hereafter, but of his goodness and grace; it is a reverential affection for him, a fiducial fear of him, a fear of offending so good a Being as he is; and it includes all religious worship of him, inward and outward, private and public; and at this true wisdom begins; a man begins to be wise when he fears the Lord, and not till then; this is his highest wisdom, and this is, as it may be rendered, "the chief of wisdom" (i), the principal part of it; see Proverbs 9v10.

Good Evening Bathgate, our pastors are out again tonight. Please pray for fruit to come from their work and for their safety tonight. Pray also for the safety and guidance of those out tonight and to lead the pastors to where they may be needed.

Proverbs 13v2 “From the fruit of his mouth a man eats what is good, but the desire of the treacherous is for violence.”

Theologian John Gill gave these thoughts on this verse:
“The sense is, that a good man brings forth good things out of the good treasure of his heart by his mouth; which not only minister grace to the hearers, and are for the use of edifying to others, but also to himself; while he gives wholesome counsel and advice to others, it is of service to himself; while he comforts others, he comforts himself; and while he teaches and instructs others, he teaches and instructs himself: so a good minister of Jesus Christ, while he feeds others with knowledge and understanding, he himself is nourished up with the words of faith and good doctrine.”
