Could you join Pope Leo by praying the rosary in your own garden or living room?

To accompany his constant calls for peace in the world, Pope Leo XIV will lead the prayer of the Holy Rosary on May 30 at 7:00 PM Rome time from the Vatican Gardens.

He will lead the faithful in Shrines around the world in praying the Joyful Mysteries, with each decade being dedicated specifically for those affected by war and violence and entrusting them to the intercession of Mary, Queen of Peace.

The first mystery prays for the victims of war, especially the most vulnerable, while the second is for those who bring words of hope and the comfort of faith to populations affected by war. The third recalls the medical and paramedical personnel and volunteers who bring humanitarian aid every day.

The fourth mystery prays for those who suffer the violence of war, for prisoners and for all who endure humiliations that violate human dignity. The fifth and final Joyful Mystery is dedicated to praying for an end to war and the establishment of lasting peace in the world.

Parish Archives project
Next meet up: Wed 27th May 10.30am - noon, Parish Centre
In the Parish Office, we have nine boxes of photos, photo albums, St Mary's school records, photos of school teams, parish magazines, letters… all types of documents. Without names, dates or context they become just boxes of unidentifiable history, so we need the assistance of parishioners to put names to faces, dates to events. We meet at times to suit to the availability of the people with the knowledge. If you are interested in being part of this project, come along on Wednesday or call Charlotte in the Parish Office 01225314114 or email [email protected]

Coffee/tea and biscuits provided (although squash and lollies would be more appropriate for the weather).

Next Saturday 30th May Annual Mass at Farleigh Hungerford Castle The annual Mass in honour of Blessed Margaret Pole will be offered in the Castle Chapel on Saturday 30th May. If you would like to go along doors of the castle open at 6.00pm for Mass at 6.15pm. Bring a picnic for afterwards if the weather stays good.
Born at Hungerford Castle 1473 , Margaret Pole, Duchess of Salisbury, executed by Henry VIII in 1541; a beatified martyr.

On 27 May 1541, Lady Margaret Pole – another victim of Henry VIII’s increasingly bloody regime – was led to her ex*****on inside the Tower. But Margaret was no scheming minister or prisoner of conscience. She was a 67-year-old woman who had spent her life serving the Tudors.
