Today was our annual staff sorting day, and flipping heck did we get a lot done! We cleaned, organised, took loads of stuff to the charity shop, got a huge pile ready for the tip/recycling, and we also got slightly carried away with the label maker! It was hard work but absolutely worth it to make sure our building is as welcoming, inviting and user friendly as it possibly can be for all the groups and individuals who use it each week. We’re off to have a little lie down now.

This Sunday at Oasis Church Bath it's Community Sunday! Instead of meeting all together in our church building we connect in smaller groups, spend time with friends and family, or simply enjoy a day of rest. We have lots of exciting news and updates to share, and we'll be trialling our new 'open mic' section where anyone can share an update or raise something for discussion. What a weekend! We absolutely LOVED being part of Bath Pride this year. We marched, we protested, we laughed, we wore a lot of orange, and we had some amazing conversations with people on the Affirming Christians stall. We also really enjoyed coming together with other affirming Christians in the city to hold our first ever Pride Celebration Service at Oasis today.

We will ALWAYS be a church and community where everyone, no matter what their sexuality or gender identity, is fiercely loved, cherished and celebrated.

As part of the Bath Pride celebrations this weekend, we'll be hosting a Celebration Service at Oasis Church Bath on Sunday 23rd August at 2pm. Join us for a joyful and welcoming service, bringing together different parts of the Christian community in Bath to celebrate diversity, community, and the boundless love of God. Expect songs, poetry, prayers, a short talk, and the company of others.

The service is open to LGBTQ+ people, their families, friends, and anyone who wants to celebrate that God's love does not discriminate. We really hope to see you there!

We’re excited to be part of Bath Pride this Saturday, joining in with other inclusive and affirming churches under the banner of ‘Affirming Christians'. Look out for us on the march, and come and see us on our stall in Sydney Gardens afterwards. Our stall will contain information about all affirming churches in Bath as well as free badges and the opportunity to get involved in a collaborative art project! We look forward to seeing you there.

It was great to have Zoe and Zoe (easy to remember!) from BaNES Wellness Service visiting our city centre pantry today, offering free health checks for our members. At Oasis we’re not just a food pantry - co-locating important services like this is a huge part of how we make sure every part of an individual’s health and wellbeing is considered and cared for.

Our staff and volunteer teams will be taking breaks at various points over the next few weeks, so we'll be a little quieter on here than usual, and it may take us longer to respond to emails and messages.

Our pantries are open as normal, our church is meeting in smaller groups on Sundays until September 13th (email [email protected] if you want to find out how you can join in) and we're VERY much looking forward to being at Bath Pride on August 22nd. We hope you have a wonderful summer whatever you're up to!

Join in this Sunday at Oasis Church Bath as we wrap up our ‘Back to Sunday School’ series. What have we learned? What questions still remain? How might this series change our approach to the bible going forwards? We’ll have pastries as usual, but for today the “guest on the sofa” is our conversations with each other. There will be no Oasis Playspace provision on this Sunday and Oasis Youth will be staying in the service.
