Only two more sleeps until our Carols by Candlelight event.

Join us in the Church this Sunday at 6.30pm to sing classic carols in a beautiful setting, followed by mince pies! No need to book, just show up. See you there!

We're mixing serious social distancing with Christmas joy; so bring a mask and your best carolling voice. 😉

At OPBC we have lots going on in the - find out what's happening this !

Sunday Services: we've started meeting together in person again and would love to invite you to join us. With a mix of the contemporary and traditional worship, preaching from God's word, communion, and prayer Sundays are our main meeting to remember our Lord and Saviour, Jesus. Every Sunday at 10.30

Noah's Ark Tiny Tots & Toddlers: We are pleased to announce the restarting of our tots and toddlers groups (term time only).

Noah's Ark 'Tiny Tots' will be running on Mondays from 6th September and will be set up for families with children aged 0-2 years old. With a calmer feel and plenty of baby-bouncers for the babies to lie in, there will be lots of opportunity for parents and carers to connect over a coffee.

Noah's Ark 'Toddlers' will be running on Tuesdays from 7th September and will be geared towards older pre-schoolers. With ride on toys, fancy dress, colouring, and the soft play, it will have much more energy - the perfect place to let them burn off some steam!

Take-a-Break: Our monthly meet and greet meal. Open to all ages, members of the church provide a simple, affordable meal and a chance to get to know people in the community better. Runs the first Friday of each month.

Hymns and songs can speak theological truths deep into our hearts and give us words to cry out to God.

"In Christ Alone" by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend every word reminds us of some aspect of the gospel and our complete dependance on Jesus for our salvation.

Take a moment today to pray for our church.

Father, we thank you for your constant care, grace, and mercy to us. Thank you for the countless ways that you have provided for us and encouraged us. We ask that you would help us to have grateful hearts, that our love for you would spill out to those around us.

We thank you for protecting Mark in his recent fall and for his continued recovery. Please draw near to him and encourage him as he heals, helping him to grow his trust in your son, Jesus. We ask that you would give the medical professionals helping him wisdom and knowledge. Please give him and Sharon boldness as they talk to people about what has happened, that their recounting of what happened will be full of praise for you and your care at this time.

Please help the deacons and members as they plan around Mark's healing, that the whole church would come together to support one another, reflecting the love of Christ to the community around us.

We pray that you would bless us still, by bringing people to know your grace in Jesus, to worship with us in Oldfield Park.

We ask it in Jesus name for the sake of your glory.

Amen.

Noah's Ark is restarting this coming term!

In light of the lifted restrictions we will be making a few tweaks to the format, to find a happy balance between Covid security and fun.

We will be hosting two sessions a week (Mondays and Tuesdays @ 9.30am till 11.30am) but we're giving each of the days more of a focus.

We're back to the 2 hour format; Hall doors will open at 9.30am for free-play and snacks, followed by story time and songs in the church for half hour from from 11-11.30am, but feel free to drop in and out as your little one's needs dictate.

We will be limiting spaces to 20 families a session, but there's no booking required.
£1 entry at the door

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Hymns and songs can speak theological truths deep into our hearts and give us words to cry out to God.

In "All Praise to Him" by Bob Kauflin and Matthew Merker we remember the worthiness of our God for all our praises, not least the humility that He possesses in leaving the glories of heaven to become and man, for the purpose of suffering and dying on our behalf.

Take a moment to pray for our mission partners Frontiers.

As a church we partner with a number of mission organisations, both financially and in prayer. Frontiers is a mission organisation that seeks to bring the gospel of Jesus to Muslims in the least reached parts of the world.

Almighty God,

We pray on behalf of our brothers and sisters at Frontiers ministry that you would provide appropriate Christian materials for Arabs in South Sudan and for your Holy Spirit to anoint Christian broadcasts as they are aired among Sudanese Arabs.

As we read in Acts 16, “There was a man from Macedonia who was asking him (Paul) and pleading with him, ‘Please come! Please help us.’” We pray for those who are called to reach out to the South Sudanese peoples. We pray that you would provide workers like Andy and Leah, that through them they would find the way to Jesus.

We ask that the Holy Spirit will complete the work begun in their hearts of Arabs in South Sudan through adequate discipleship.

We ask this all in Jesus name.

Amen
