Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival that celebrates the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the Hindu god of wisdom and success.

It took 22 years of hard work and endurance to establish the Temple in the City of BATH. Kindly support the FIRST Temple dedicated to Lord Shree Jagannatha in the UK by enrolling as a Life Member.

Shree Jagannatha Temple, UK (City of BATH)* invites you and your family to join annual *Shree Krishna Janmashtami* celebrations at *6:00PM* on *Friday 4th Sep, 2026* at Shree Jagannatha Temple UK (City of BATH). The evening will feature *Puja, Abhisekh & Aarti followed by Bhanja, Kirtan, Dahi Handi(Govinda) & Prasad*.

NOTE: The kids will be dressed as per the Theme of the day.

The *Dahi Handi (Govinda)* is one of the *primary highlights* of the event. [Significance: Little Lord Shree Krishna and his friends used to form human pyramids to break pots hung from the ceilings of neighbourhood houses, in order to steal curd and butter.]
