St Mary's Church is a beautiful cool space open every day, Monday to Saturdays (including Bank Holidays) from 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., on Sundays 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

Services on Sundays at 8.00 a.m. and 9.30 a.m.

Come and enjoy the cool and the quiet.

It's the Flower Festival and Open Garden weekend. There are some great hidden gardens to discover, amazing arrangements in the church as well as music from the local schools at 11:30 today, North Hampshire Organists Association at 2pm today and BSC Chorale' at 2pm on Sunday. You don't have to be a qualified bear pilot to go on the zip wire from the Church tower. You don't even have to be a bear, any cuddly toy with confidence can do it. Come along on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th and let your cuddly toy fly. Only £1 per trip. All part of the Flower Festival and Open Garden weekend.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting many people who are kindly opening their gardens and making sure they all had an open gardens signs to display for the weekend. It's just £10 per adult for entry to all 12 gardens and the Old Basing allotments. Booklets for the open gardens are available that weekend from the church but also from other gardens . The poster will say if they can sell booklets. So, you can always start your journey at a garden and then visit the wonderful displays in the church.
