Join this Sunday for fellowship and the good news of the Gospel. We will have the Reverend Paul Amed with us at 11.00am and at 6 pm we will have our Monthly Gaelic service taken by Mt Murdo Martin Elder from the Free Church Stornoway. We will have our Sunday School and Bible service during the service. All the Youngsters from our parish are invited to attend. Don't forget the Faith Mission are in Ness from Sunday 31st till June Sunday 14th. This is being held at Ness Social club from 7.30pm.
Verse for the week ahead: John: 15: 12-16
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Is i seo m’àithne-sa, gun gràdhaich sibhse a chèile, mar a ghràdhaich mise sibhse.
Gràdh as mò na seo chan eil aig neach air bith, gun leigeadh duine a anam sìos airson a chàirdean.
14Is sibhse mo chàirdean-sa, ma nì sibh gach nì a tha mi ag àithneadh dhuibh.
A seo suas cha ghairm mi seirbhisich dhibh; oir chan aithne don t‑seirbhiseach ciod a tha a thighearna a’ dèanamh: ach ghairm mi càirdean dhibh; oir na h‑uile nithean a chuala mi om Athair, thug mi fios dhuibhse orra.
Cha sibhse a thagh mise, ach is mise a thagh sibhse, agus dh’òrdaich mi sibh, a‑chum gun rachadh sibh agus gun tugadh sibh a‑mach toradh, agus gum maireadh ur toradh: a‑chum ge bè nì a dh’iarras sibh air an Athair ann am ainm-sa, gun toir e dhuibh e.
