And the Christmastide goings-on at St Mary's. NB the short Family Service this Sunday (14th) at 11, and (also this Sunday) the quiet, reflective service at 4.00, provided as a space for anyone who's finding the compulsory jollity a bit trying, for whatever reason.

All proceeds from the Christingle go to the Children's Society, and if you want to get ahead of the game, there are donation envelopes and candles at the back of St Mary's waiting to be picked up and filled.

The nature of this event is not what it was understood to be, and church premises are not an appropriate venue for such an entertainment. Consequently we have cancelled the booking.
