Available to let for daytime use / overnight stays for meetings, house parties and other activities that encourage Christian beliefs and to help extend the knowledge of Christ’s love to others. St Swithin’s House is also available for use as Church Hall for the parish of Barston and its parishioners. The house is set in half an acre of natural gardens adjacent to St Swithin’s Church in the village
of Barston, near Solihull, West Midlands. The simple accommodation allows up to 24 people to stay overnight using 12 double bunk beds in six bedrooms. Two bedrooms are smaller and ideal for use by group leaders. There are two bathrooms on the first floor with showers, hand basins and toilets. Large Meeting Room
The ground floor has a large meeting room that will accommodate up to 60 people. The room has folding doors allowing it to be divided for use by two smaller groups. Additional Rooms / Dining Room
Two further rooms are available for either dining or for meetings. Separate toilets are also located on the ground floor which are suitable for wheelchair access. Catering Facilities
The catering facilities in the house include a commercial electric cooker with large oven, Microwave, Fridge with small freezer, Dishwasher and Electric Kettles and Urn. In addition there is a full supply of cookware, cutlery and crockery sufficient to cater for up to 60 people. Games Room
A ‘Games Room’ in a restored outbuilding accessed from the garden has a table tennis table and also stores the garden chairs. The Garden also has a brick built BBQ with a capacity to cook for food for up to 80 people. Garden
Limited provision can also be made available for tents in the garden with prior permission. We regret that no dogs are allowed in the House. The House has ample off road car parking at owners risk. House guests staying over weekends are warmly invited to join our worship in the church on Sunday mornings at 10:30. Our services follow an Evangelical tradition and are a mix of traditional and contemporary music and worship, with the aim that there will be something to please both young and old.
