We are a joint Methodist / United Reformed Church LEP (Local Ecumenical Project) in Barry, South Wales and we manage The Bridge Between Comunity Centre, an open access, purpose-built community facility in Barry's Waterfront development. We are an ecumenical church in Barry, South Wales, formed from the joint congregations of Porthkerry Road Methodist Church and Windsor Road United Reformed Church,

now known as Barry Uniting Church. Our new church and community building, 'The Bridge Between', has been designed to reflect the needs of the community on the Waterfront and in the wider Barry area. The building was completed in July 2021 and we opened for use in September 2021 with a range of activities, facilities and bookable spaces for the local community, in conjunction with our project partners, Purple Shoots. We are home to Lana's Community Cafe and Vale People First and we have a registered Changing Places toilet facility which is available for public use whenever the building is open.

Last Sunday (9 August) we celebrated the award of our 4th Keep Wales Tidy - Cadwch Gymru'n Daclus Community Green Flag by raising our 2026 flag in the community garden after the service.
We are grateful to all the groups who use the centre and the garden and look forward to the next year of developing the garden with new friendships and partnerships in the local area.

On Sunday 9 August, our 10:30am morning worship at the Waterfront will be our monthly All Age Cafe Church service, led by Gerwyn Davies and Mel Saunders.

Join us for coffees and teas at the start of the service - we will also be raising our 2026 Keep Wales Tidy - Cadwch Gymru'n Daclus Community Green Flag during the morning so we hope you'll come along to be part of this special day!
