Barrhead St Andrew's Parish Church

Barrhead St Andrew's Parish Church Barrhead St Andrew's Parish Church was formed on 6th June 2013, after a merger of both Arthurlie and South and Levern Churches.

Arthurlie Church has occupied a position in the centre of the town since 1793, when it was founded by a group of local people who had originally travelled to worship in the Pollokshaws area of Glasgow. After some time holding services in the open air, they built a church on Main Street, close to where the Health Centre now stands. That church was demolished in 1967 to allow a new road and Health C

entre to be built. The new building was completed that year, on the entrance to Ralston Road. South and Levern Church was built in 1846 to house the Free Church congregation that broke from the Established Bourock Church at the disruption of 1843. The church building is nestled in the town's Main Street. In March 2013, both congregations overwhelmingly voted for the merger, with the appointment of Jim Cowan as minister. (thanks to the Arthurlie Church and Barrhead Heritage Trail websites for the info).

YOUR SUNDAY SETLIST

As we prepare our hearts for worship tomorrow morning, here is a little preview of the songs we’ll be singing together at St. Andrew's.

🕚 11:00 AM — Main Worship Service
Join us as we gather together for worship, teaching, and fellowship. We have a full programme running for our children and youth, and we’d love for you to stick around after the service for a cuppa and a chat! ☕️

Take some time tonight to listen through these tracks, rest, and get ready for a beautiful Sunday morning together as a church family.

Whether you've been here for years or are visiting for the very first time, there is a seat waiting for you. See you at 11! 🙌

👇 Which song are you most looking forward to singing tomorrow?

FRIDAY HIGHLIGHT: WARM BOWLS AND WARM WELCOMES!

There is nothing quite like the smell of homemade soup wafting through the halls of St. Andrew’s! This week, our "Friday Highlight" celebrates our Soup at St. Andrew's team.

It was a joy to see the hall filled with people from across the community, sharing a hot lunch, a good blether, and plenty of smiles.

WANT TO JOIN US NEXT TIME?
Soup at St. Andrew's runs on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM in the Community Hall. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, there is always a bowl of homemade soup and a friendly seat waiting for you.

A massive thank you to our incredible soup makers, servers and kitchen team who work so hard to make this such a special space for Barrhead.
