Join us TOMORROW for our Jumble Sale at St John’s!
Whether you love a bargain, enjoy a rummage, or just fancy a friendly chat over a cuppa, there’ll be something for everyone. Clothes, books, household bits, toys, treasures… all waiting to be discovered.

It would be really lovely to see you — and we’d love to work with our wonderful community again in the future to organise more events like this.

CAFE CHURCH IS COMING TO NEWPORT

😀We’re excited to launch something new this Sunday: Café Church, a warm and relaxed way to gather for worship at St John’s Newport. Instead of sitting in rows, we’ll be around tables with coffee, pastries, and space to chat.

✝You’ll still find the heart of our usual worship — Bible readings, prayers, and a short reflection — but in a gentler, more conversational atmosphere. Think of it as worship woven through community: time to listen, time to talk, and time to pause together.

⛪If you’re curious, new to church, or simply looking for a different way to connect, Café Church is a lovely place to start.

Tomorrow is our final Mini Music before the summer break, and we’d love to finish the term with a room full of singing, giggles, bubbles and happy little faces.

It’s been such a joy watching our toddlers grow in confidence, rhythm and friendship each week — and seeing parents and carers find community together over a cuppa.

Let’s make tomorrow a really special send‑off.

WHAT A FABULOUS EVENING OF MUSIC

Thank you to everyone who joined us at St John's Church Newport Barnstaple on Saturday for Mendelssohn’s Elijah, performed so beautifully by North Devon Choral Society.

We were delighted to welcome a nearly packed house for this very special evening held in memory of Ian Westwood and in support of the STAR Appeal.

The choir and soloists filled the church with truly stunning music — we can’t wait to share some videos soon so you can relive the atmosphere.

Thanks to your generosity, the event raised an incredible £1500 for the STAR Appeal.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this unforgettable night.
